I like Etienne but everything points to us rolling with a disposable RBBC. The 49ers ran with multiple 28-29 year old RBs. Also, a report this close to the Draft of the Bills trying to trade up for Etienne means that (a) they aren’t trading up and (b) are not interested in Etienne.
I think Julio can be had for a lot less than many expect. Julio's fully guaranteed base salary for 2021 is $15.3 million. Only a few teams have the cap space to take him at this point. I know his age makes him a short-term option, but with the nature of the NFL and the salary cap, who is truly a long-term option beyond 2-3 years.

Helping the QB would also go against everything JD has done so far. IMO they should learn from 2020, and do everything possible to help the young QB, and a signing like Jones would definitely help.
While I tend to agree with finding RB talent to fit this system on the cheap, Etienne is also perfect for this O. I wouldn't mind drafting him at all, as he'd take a ton of heat off Wilson as he grows into the role.
Guys I'd like to sign for cheap... CB- Poole + Conley + Sherman(mostly as a teacher to the young guys). All 3 of these are better than any CB on our roster currently. Regardless of how many we draft, all of these guys would improve the team. S- Hooker
