will say this if the giants commit to eli AND draft barkely.......thats a downright lethal offense with barkley, engram, and beckham.

they just have to upgrade their OL to average and that would be sick.

pitt currently has 2 mill in cap space in 2018 ... thats why they would let him walk

he had 400 touches, not carries ... 400 carries is the death knell

I'd take Barkley over those guys anyway.

We’ve been over this enough to not clog the thread up with it again.

    History says you are right.

My perspective in this case is that this an exception to the rule. In my view, Rosen and especially Darnold have huge unignorable red flags, while Barkley has none and does everything. Barkley in my eyes is the only surefire bet to transform an offense the minute he steps on the field. I'm seeing what Fournette has meant to a Blake Bortles led Jaguars and think we could do that or better with Barkley.

Honestly if we ended up with something like Barkley - Price - Falk I think that would be a sweet haul and better than any combination that followed Rosen or Darnold. Just me though.

I can't really argue with a Barkley - Price - Falk trifecta. I still think Rosen can be special, and would make a huge positive impact on the Jets offense, but I agree with your assessment that Barkley has no holes or flags. But I think he'll be gone before the 3rd pick which is the highest pick I can see the Jets being able to trade for.

I'd sign up for Cousins, Andrew Norwell and Allen Robinson.

Then use the first three picks on two o-lineman and an RB.

Pittsburgh would never let him walk. Arguably the best RB in the game. They will either franchise him or trade him but would never, ever let him walk for nothing in return. Just stop.

After naming Jeremy Bates the offensive coordinator the Jets sign the following in free agency:

    Kirk Cousins, QB
    DeMarcus Lawrence, DE
    Jarvis Landry, WR
    Morris Claiborne, CB
    Demario Davis, LB
    Austin Sefarian-Jenkins, TE

Trade Muhammad Wilkerson for a 5th round pick, to recoup the one you lost trading for Rashard "Peanut Budda" Robinson.

Think they said Lawrence is going to be franchised. Ansah may have to do.

Until they franchise him, you keep him on the grocery list.

I don’t think we sign Landry but other than that looks great

Not necessarily... Bell does a good job getting out of bounds, avoiding unnecessary contact

Allen Robinson is a #1 receiver, I'd take him

Exciting stuff. No excuses for this team not be a lot better even in 2018. And if they sign Cousins and he stays healthy, this is a playoff mandate situation IMO.

It's sounding like DeMarcus Lawrence will be franchised if not resigned and believe I read similarly about Ansah. If neither are available (and I'm not even sure Ansah projects to the 3-4), I don't want some Jets-esque FA signing like Calvin Pace. They need a disruptive pass-rusher and need to look to the draft otherwise. Bradley Chubb would be great if they sign Cousins. Otherwise, Harold Landry and Dorrance Armstrong seem to be pass-rushing specialists and 2nd round options. For next year, at the least, they need a guy who can come in and rush the passer on 3rd downs at OLB. I don't have a problem with Jenkins as one starter and keeping Ealy/Martin/another in rotation, but their OLB add needs to be a dynamic pass rusher, nothing less.

Wonder which FA CB(s) they'll target. I see numerous very viable options. Excellent market.
