I cant see how anyway Gordon is sitting their in the 2nd round but the draft is full of good rbs this year
They'd have to trade up from #37 to get Gordon if they didn't want him at #6. What if the Jets sign Wisnieski to play guard. Then draft White or Cooper at #6 and trade up to get Gordon at the end of round 1? Even Ryan Fitzpatrick would be good with Cooper, Marshall, Decker, Amaro, Kerley, Gordon and Ivory.
You're telling me we couldn't do this? @RavensInsider: Clint Boling Bengals deal: five years, $26M, $5M gtd, $2.5M bonus, salaries $1.7M, $2.35M, $4.05M, $4.55M, $4.85M
the Jets are out to dinner with Marcus Gilchrist....and have brought Buster Schrine with them.....sounds like they don't want him to leave without a deal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Kind of hoping we sign Browner as well. Would be useful against the tight ends we will face this year.
1)Get me Akeem Ayers - big pickup by New England and cut Pace during camp. 2)Sign a real blocking TE like James Casey and cut Cumberland. 3)Forget about Cromartie - let Millner/ McDougal/ Walls or Williams battle it out and use that money instead to sign Gilchrist.
Ideal Shopping List Quality Safety Cheap WR 3/4 1st rnd: Mariota or best LB 2nd rnd: OL or LB 3rd rnd: OL 4th rnd: RB 5th rnd: BPA I think that leaves a little bit of cap rm too
Brian Orakpo went to the Titans for $32 mil over four years. I am happy that we have Skrine at nickel but given a choice between the two I would have taken Orakpo.
If we could come out of this draft with: 1. Ot - to eventually replace brick( we haven't beet able to run behind our lt in yrs). 2. Olb-with legit passrush ability or defer to other need 3. Og/c- if we could get a guy who could be a Damian woodey type swing g/c that would be ideal. 4. Coverage lb for nickle/ st's . This guy could be found later but this new coach is in sub packages more than Rex. We need this type of lb. 5. Rb - ideally you take advantage of the strengths of the particular draft. ( old regime shit the bed) I don't want to trade up for qb. We have to build our ol, we are a few injuries from total shit show. If we are rebuilding towards eventual run then this and qb needs addressing ASAP.
Well now that you put it that way, that would be fine - then what do you do w/ Coples? Put him back on the defensive line?
I really like the outside pass rushers in this draft. I want to trade down to get more players but wouldn't lose any sleep if we stayed at # 6 to take the best pass rusher. The move I really want to see is for us to use our second and third round picks to move up for Todd Gurley (MG III would be OK but he is not as good in the passing game). I think there will be good value at RB in round four for us to pick up another RB (Ivory and Powell are UFA next year).
