Cro update http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...o-cromartie-talks-about-is-freaking-new-york/ Wonder if we could trade for Pat Pete too?
"Cromartie has kept a house in the area and said that whatever choice he makes this offseason about his home for 2015 will be affected by what’s best for his family, which is living in that house while his kids go to school." All 12 of them go to school together? Might as well call it BabyDaddy Elementary.
Cards would probably never trade him but Id love if Bowles pushed for us to make a splash. He's obviously not as good as Sherman and Revis but he's a true number 1 CB. Those are few and far between.
Bringing Cro back would be nice. Bowles knows him first hand + NY is "home" for Cro so that could work IF the price is right. Or we go after Maxwell or Jackson. I feel like we will make some splashes in FA, thanks to Idzik for creating so much cap space and come draft day, we will be able to take BPA rather than a need guy.
I thought Kareem Jackson was a bust (same draft where Kyle Wilson was drafted), but apparently, he's taken a huge step forward the past couple of seasons.
If we are gonna take on that contract he just got, I'd rather have Revis back for the same price and we keep all our picks in doing so.
5 year age difference though. No doubt right now Revis is better than a guy like Peterson but for how much longer is he going to be the best or 2nd best CB in the league? If you're asking me who Id rather have for the next 5 years Id go with Peterson. And it might just be a personal preference but I have no interest in having Revis back after he helped the Pats win a SB. Jets lose a lot of credibility with the fans if they go after him in free agency IMO.
1.) Offensive Line- Most likely looking for a guard, unfortunately I think we're in for another year of Brick struggling at Left Tackle. Mike Iupati, Orlando Franklin- only guys worth throwing money at IMO 2.) Quarterback Sam Bradford- most talented available, could prove to be the answer if he shows an ability to stay healthy. If not, a more than serviceable stopgap. Brian Hoyer, Ryan Mallett, Mike Glennon (Trade) - all guys capable of bringing in good QB competition and taking the reigns if need be. Marcus Mariota (Draft) Nick Foles (Trade)-trade #6 pick if Mariota is there to Eagles for Foles ++. 3.) Cornerback Byron Maxwell - best option available IMO (get the Revis fantasy out of your heads) Antonio Cromartie- short-term option Brandon Flowers, Kareem Jackson- both probably staying with their respective teams, Jackson would be ideal. 4.) Offensive Playmaker (WR/RB) RB- DeMarco Murray, Adrian Peterson, Shane Vereen, CJ Spiller Fantasy-Land: Demayrius Thomas, Jeremy Maclin, Randall Cobb Realistic, quality targets- Torrey Smith, Michael Crabtree, Cecil Shorts Linebackers should be addressed through the draft. Move AA back to safety.
Iupati, I'd add Matt Moore to list of FA QBs, Maxwell, CJ Spiller would be dream Free Agency. It'll fill needs at multiple positions and will allow us to draft BPA ideally looking at an OLB/ILB (Fowler and Perryman would be my faves)
I would add Chris Culliver to cornerbacks and we need to find a free safety to pair with Pryor as well.
Definitely wouldn't mind drafting Perryman. DP reminds me a lot of Navorro Bowman, who is arguably one of the best ILB in the game.
If Cro can't work out a post-NFL reality show his agent is sleeping on one of the best properties in reality TV.
How many players do the Jets need to add to become a playoff team? Does adding Mike Iupati, Cromatrie, CJ Spiller, Torrey Smith and maybe one other free agent get it done?
What about Marshall, looks like he could be available. He's probably not DT but fits the tall, strong receiver that fights for balls description. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...ands-bears-may-decide-to-move-on-without-him/
I know you're kidding but with all of his child support obligations there is no way they all live with him, just posting this for the people that take you literally
