If I had been in a coma for a year and just woken up, I would bet my life John Idzik was still running the show. I know it's not over yet. But so far it's been: All talk, little action, and no results.
Exactly! And playing at LG 2011 (between LT J. Valdheer (who was inexcusably also let go by the Raiders) and C Samson Satele) he also helped to bring the Raider's OL to the NFL's 7th ranked rushing attack (and they only allowed 25 sacks also back then)... I really don't think, we need both of them. Out of Oday Aboushi, Dakota Dozier (our 4th-rounder from last year; I really liked him coming out of college) and a draft pick we should have a really fine second OG. Yes, that's true; moving Austin Howard to OG was a mistake. And it's already been reported that they want him back at RT (where he'll compete with and probably beat out Menelik Watson). Nevertheless they still overpaid for Howard, regardless of the position he plays. And they also paid their new C Rodney Hudson way too much money (an average annual salary of a league-high (!!!) $8.9 million! (more than Maurkice Pouncey, Alex Mack, our Nick Mangold etc.)). So let them pay too much for Mike Iupati also; I just don't want our Jets' FO to act like this. Seems pretty obvious, but still: Underrated, young and not too pricey players are the way to go in free agency for us...
i have not been on here but read all the time, my man do you EVER not complain? we get it you dont want revis back. what do you want them to do? what have we missed out on? suh?maxwell?flowers? for what maxwell is getting paid i rather revis
Kareem Jackson. Orlando Franklin. Pernell McPhee.Probably Mike Iupati if we really did put a hold on things. All because we are waiting to see if one guy is gonna bend us over.
Iupati is still available Kareem Jackson signed back with Houston his team he was on plus still a bunch of good players left
Why dont for once suck it up and accept the fact that neither you, nor me, nor the rest of the Jet fans have a clue as to how hard the GM and staff are working free agency nor how fair and generous the offers have been. There is a hell of a lot to the decision each of the players make and it's a lot more than money. Truth is we have no idea what is driving people to accept one offer and reject the others. Location, quality of life, Team reputation, chances for a ring, on and on. Money is only a part of the equation. Now, that reality does not make me happy but it ain't necesserily the GMs fault.
A billion dollars?? Ummm...exaggerate much? Yeah...still look into this guy. Also, I don't see the need to "halt" our FA shopping either...Revis is going to cost but for fuck's sake we are STILL $40 or so million under the cap soo...yeah...quit pissing in the wind and trying to rile everyone up. That's all I have to say.
