People are forgetting how good Cro was in the year we lost Revis to injury. Go back and watch those games.
Cant let this dickhead run our organization. I want his talent but there are other things tk worry about than CB
And Super Bowl winning teams aren't built through free agency but the draft. Anything the Jets do now will be complimentary to the much more important issue of what they do with their draft picks. It would be nice to get some good players now, but the sky will not fall if they miss a few.
And we shouldnt, OL is a big area of need but someone will break off from somewhere later. Players are getting paid crazy money right now.
I wouldnt give him more then 8 mil a year that's more then Franklin who is arguably the better player
I really would't appreciate it, if we would be the team that makes Mike Iupati the highest paid OG in the game. Don't get me wrong: He is a good player at a position of need; but I really don't think, he's worth that much money he's going to get soon. I'd much rather have Stefen Wisniewski: He is two years younger and has already proven (in his rookie season (2011)) to be an outstanding player at OG. I can still remember our game against Oakland in week 3 of the 2011 NFL season with their 234 rushing yards against us and Wisniewski's beautiful lead block (which led to a TD and a two-score lead for Oakland) in the 4th quarter. He's been the lone bright spot for Oakland in countless games and he would not only come (much) cheaper than Mike Iupati; in my books Stefen Wisniewski even is the better player. Like I said before: Chris Culliver and Sterling Moore at CB with Stefen Wisniewski at OG and an extension for Mo Wilkerson; THIS would be a nearly perfect offseason for me. All three are young (Moore 25, Wisniewski 26, Culliver 27), but are already proven players at their positions. And all three of them are somewhat underrated; especially Wisniewski and Moore.
One thing is for sure after updating myself by reading this thread. There is going to be no room for error in the next 24 hours. There are maybe 4-6 top priority names left on the list and if at least two of them aren't signed this is going to be another year of being absurdly under the cap with no shot at success. Not freaking out yet, but this is a key 48 hours in the future of this organization. This is the new GM's time to show that he understands what this team needs and is able to go get it.
@VicTafur: #Raiders trying to go back-to-back OL signings, hot after #49ers Pro Bowl guard Mike Iupati, sources say. #Jets are too
@McClain_on_NFL: Jets, Atlanta, Chicago, Arizona and Oakland pursuing OLB Brooks Reed. However I've heard he is pretty much signing with Atlanta
