No kidding? My seats are in row 4, well at least they were.. Most fan participation I've seen in a long time!
Coldest i can ever remember being in my 30 years as a season ticket holder. In the stadium it was warmer then out tailgating in front of the firepit, but with each TD it got warmer baby!
Nice... It was great to see the section full, and I didn't see any Bengal fans.. For some reason, there are always opposing fans around me somewhere...
It was loud enough to make life tough for Palmer and Sullivan. The cold wasn't bad when you move around and scream and waive that towel. Its amazing how warm you get with waiving that towel. 3rd quarter was the "time to go" quarter. The guys I went with had work a 5am, so I had no choice. I wanted to stay for the gatorade bath, and I was on field level. I would have went to the front to thank rex and everyone else.
We got there around 7:40 or so...we normally go in at gate D, but they told us to go to gate C instead. We then proceeded to stand around, not moving anywhere, until finally being let in. Then all of the escalators weren't open, so I had to walk all the way up to upper deck. Honestly, I don't even think the escalators were broke, I think they just had all of them turned off. I didn't get into my seat until after TJ's TD as well. This was absolutely the single-worst experience I had trying to get into the stadium.
I loved it. I actually recorded it on my phone, but I didn't know how long it was going to go for or how much room I had on my phone, so I had my resolution turned down. After uploading it to my computer, I realized I had turned the resolution down WAY too much. Everything was all pixelated...lol. What a great reunion though. Wayne, Vinny, Jenkins, and Leon all got huge ovations. Watching Leon walking while waving his crutches had me a little nervous though, but it was definitely a great show. It's too bad Curtis couldn't be there.
Stadium was rocking the entire game, great crowd. And yes, it was freezing sitting there and I had 4 layers on, plus a hooded sweatshirt and my revis jersey. Luckily I was in the mezz so it blocked the wind a little bit. I left at the end of the 3rd quarter once all the starters were out and it was 30-0.
The game was all but wrapped up, the wind chill was in the single digits, and most fans had work in the morning. Really, what do you expect out of people?
It was freaking cold, but we stuck it out. The victory lap was well worth it, seeing Sanchez soak it all in was a great site. (no that is not a gay statement)
Someone always has to rip the fans no matter what happens. From the comfort of their home, of course.
1. It seemed pretty loud but nothing crazy imo. 2. I was pretty cold tailgating but once I got inside I wasn't really cold at all. 3. Some people left at halftime. End of the 3rd is when I'd say it started getting really empty.
I just can't leave a game early no matter what. It is too fun. Up 30-0, I can understand people leaving though. Bengals benching starters, freezing cold out. I get it. I would want to stay to celebrate the playoffs being clinched at the end though. I am still mad I missed it.
