Almost left with about 5 minutes to go since our group had 5 kids going to school the next day. We decided to stay to see the end and very glad we did. An awesome display...confetti...music...victory lap. Great time.
This was the coldest I can remember a game at the Meadowlands, but I remember being colder at Shea on a couple of occasions.
I didn't feel cold in the stadium but I don't think the wind gets you as bad downstairs. The lot was very cold and windy, had a little trouble lighting the grill at first. Drank a lot of JD, that helped. Like junc said, the walk back to the car was the coldest, probably because the booze was wearing off. Not much voice today--in the second half I started yelling "mark it a fucking zero!" like Walter in The Big Lebowski every time we were on D. We were having fun with that.
What a shitshow!! Were you guys there when the golf cart ambulance tried getting through? Then the State Police car tried mowing down a mob of people??? Then the shut all of the turnstyles, but then opened one gate. It was like the running of the bulls. And of course there were no "win and in" towels left...
They had no towels left probably b/c they were letting people take what they wanted and I saw more than a couple of people take about 20 towels each.
it definitly doesnt...i was sitting 328 and it was frigid up there....we went down to the lower to start the 4th and i actuallly warmed up significantly
The fans did a great job coming out, and despite the cold were very loud and enthusiastic. Feet were the only problem most people had. I hit the first aid station just so I could take my boot off and get some circulation back in my toes. Funny scene in there with guys in green face paint passed out on cots in alcohol and frozen stupor. Esclators were out at a couple of exits.
First Aid Station Wow. I never thought to check out the first aid station. Great idea. In my 26 seasons there I should have though to do that. Great place to insert more heat warmers in the boots.
Escalator at gate C going to the 200's and 300's wasn't working either. I never had to walk up before but hey, got the blood circulating. If you dressed warm enough, it wasn't too bad. I was fine all through the night. Fun night.
A fraction of how it was at the Pat's game. It wasnt THAT bad. At the half. Pathetic showing by the fans. The place was never packed. I have no idea how the stadium is going to look next year.
HA!!! yea YOUR section might have been but MY SECTION was standing the whole half screaming. last nite was awesome from start to finish. had to waych highlights and unwind till 3am.just awesome
