Exactly... #1- They can't say they are interested in Holt until he is released #2- Why would they show their hand.
That's what we need another old Wr to keep Stuckey on the bench yet one more year. Or until he leaves and becomes a star with the Patriots!
Goddd...We are only trying to sign some Holt guy. Its not like we are after the HOFer Justin McFuckmyhands.
Stuckey doesn't excite me. Can you or someone else explain why other than "wouldn't it be nice?" why we should think he would get it done as a starter?
Like Cotchery before him all we have heard is how well he has played and looked in camp. He has caught the ball when thrown to him in games as well. Until we let him play we will never know what he can do and this year is as good as anyone. I am by no means saying he is remotely close to the talent of Holt but the bottom line is Ryan might as well evaluate his players on the roster this year while he has the luxury. From the moves he has made so far it looks as if he has that in mind. I think he is rebuilding on the sly without gutting the whole team. We will definitely get a Wr in the First or second round that will help us for years to come hopefully and not just a quick fix like Holt. We have been delaying our future for too long trying to put band aids like Farve over our problems. Hopefully we will not have to find out what Stuckey, Clowney, Clemens, Ratliff or any other Jet can do next year.
I was thinking this too. I think Rex is actually smart enough to use this "grace period" year to test the waters. He's making the defense strong enough to stay in every game. Although, he's gambling on Schotty putting together a 2006 type offense to "get the job done" and be "efficient". At the same time, I'm one of the fans who feel we need that WR. God I can't wait for September!
and your basing this off what?? the few games he played last year?? im pretty sure you dont even know what a slot reciever is.. and before you look retarded.. no its not a reciever who just fills into a WR slot on the depth chart..
hahahaha wow, really? How about Stuckey does not possess the moves or speed to be flanked on the outside. He is a slot receiver. Underneath routes and going over the middle on posts are his bread and butter. He cannot do what Coles and Cotch do, not yet at least. I'd love to see Stuckey pull a double move on a top CB outside the numbers and beat him to the deep ball, but that's not his receiver type. what has Stuckey done to hint to you he can carry the load across from Cotchery? fuck off.
