Please with this gibberish just move over to the KCCs side as it sounds like you are another Herm mouthpiece & you wil be much happier there then with us
Your so full of it, your font is brown my friend. You see nothing because you're blinded by your hatred or sadness or whatever it is that makes you so unhappy when it comes to the team you supposedly are a fan of. If you are on a Jets message board where people are supposed to post their thoughts and opinions and have a discussion it sort of means you need to bring more to the table then your cut and paste skills. The only reason people are incorrect is because you live in your own world. One where anyone who doesn't agree with you must have the exact opposite position. Anybody who's been on this board for any time knows that is NEVER the case with the MAJORITY of the people you attempt to debate. That is why you are always made to look like a fool. Remember when you were asking everyone who NEVER even said that Herm would take the team to the SB last year to be that he would yet you wouldn't even offer them odds? Remember when I asked you to put your money where YOUR MOUTH IS and bet on your man BB who was the FAVORITE to win the SB yet you somehow ignored that bet and constantly badgered those who weren't even saying what you acting like they were. But that's too much logic for you to handle.
I'll be you $20. We don't need to send it anyway, just need to be men and pay up if we lose. Someone (maybe one of the mods) can bookmark this if need be. Just remember that your betting that they are calling for his head by week 8 and all I'm saying is that they won't be so they don't have to be praising him for me to win.
I think you are going to find that he doesn't really love Herm. Neither do most of the folks that have leaned toward Herm the last couple of years. Champ makes it out to be love for Herm if you aren't actively standing on a street corner in Somewhere, USA burning Herm in effigy.
Depends what you mean by the term "love". I don't "love" the guy but I think he was a good coach and will continue to get better. I also think he's a guy who gets an unfair rap from many people who make assumptions as to how much coaching knowledge he actually has. Now there are those who don't like the way he handles certain things like press conferences or are afraid that he either lacks a philosophy or just don't agree with the one they think they have and that's fine with me. That's their opinion and while I don't agree I can at least understand where they are coming from. I think Herm did a good job overall for this organization and that there are plenty of people who just like to discount what he's done because they dislike him. I don't think Herm is a great head coach nor that he doesn't have his issues. I just don't get all riled up about some of them as much as others, doesn't matter who the coach is. I think I've actually been pretty fair and consistent with my talk on Herm. I acknowledge what I feel are his weaknesses which is obviously the game day coaching but I don't think it's as horrific as people make it out to be. Same with clock management. It took him a while to get a better grasp of clock management but I've seen much worse clock management mistakes made by better head coaches with much more experience then Herm. To me this team played hard day in and day out. When healthy it won, when not healthy it didn't. I saw this team get better and show improvement under Herm and while he did make mistakes each year I personally didn't see these mistakes as unique to him. I could give a bunch of examples of better coaches making similar mistakes. That doesn't excuse what Herm did but it does show that all head coaches make mistakes, something many fans seem to forget. I also don't think the talent level actually dropped as much as people make it out to be. I just think the injury situation clouds the future of this team and what the new regime is doing is smart on one hand and taking a step back on the other. Hopefully it's a step back to make a leap forward. Sorry for the long answer to a short question
Now you make my long version look even longer with such a concise summary  You have it right and this is what I've said about Champ all along. He assumes and acts like if you don't agree with his extreme view you must have the exact opposite extreme view which is rarely ever the case.
MD my main argument that Herm grew is his best season was his first season. He won 10 games and that was his high water mark. He clearly was an inexperienced coach his first year coaching a very talented team. The team never did better even though Herm improved?
They never did better record wise but here's my take. Year 1 - Playoff berth (Wild card). Lost in first round Year 2 - AFCE Champions, playoff berth, won playoff game, lost in second round Year 3 - Chad hurt, season suffered Year 4 - Playoff berth (wild card). First playoff road win in 20 years, lost in second round. To me going from a wild card to the AFCE Champs and from losing in the first round to winning in the first round is improvement. While year 4 isn't necessarily a step up from year 2, there were some additional factors where I saw improvement like the defense and the fact that we won our first 5 games. Winning a road playoff game where everyone thought we'd lose and then coming back after quickly going down 10-0 to me was impressive for a Jets team under any head coach. We still had work to do after year 4 but I thought the team was in much better shape then in year 2 personally. Talent was better and younger. Overall I call that improvement though obviously last year was a setback. Personally I think whatever improvement we may have seen last year was completely wiped out by the ridiculous amount of injuries we had. To me, I saw a team that was beat up, battered and against the ropes go out their and play their asses off for 16 weeks. Sure there were mistakes but I personally didn't see any quit in the team. I find it hard to believe that any coach could've overcome the same set of circumstances. Sure they may have a gotten a few extra wins but had the ball bounced our way in a few of those games we would've had a few extra wins too.
I'm succinct while at work when I don't have the luxury of being verbose! lol I was more or less responding to the point of the thread anyhow, which of course is pointless. Herm is yesterday's news and no one here is dwelling on him (save one). I've always held a similiar view of Herm as you have. He isn't a barn burner, but he isn't terrible either. Has his moments of good and bad.
I echo those sentiments as well........of course champ sees it as "herm lovers" those who did not irrationally blame every misstep this org has taken on Herm...then Bradway.....now Woody since both of them are gone. I for one, think Herm will probably do some good things with KC, but I'm looking forward to a new era, one that will hopefully be good for both sides in the end....and, of course as a fan, hope the youngsters at the top fulfill everyone's high if not unreasonable expectations.
The part I bolded is correct. That has always been my main gripe with champ..and exactly where hes coming from. An arguement can be made that the main pieces to the puzzle during the Herm era were in place before he got here (Pennington, Martin, Mawae, Ellis, Abraham) When you look back on it, not one player was added to that list besides Vilma. The bottom line with champs arguement is that something went well...not great...not poorly..but something went well during the 5 years Herm was here. I have always said that the talent was much better than most (champ) gave credit for. I have told champ that during the 5 years, its impossible that bradway, herm and the roster all sucked. Im not going to go back and forth with you dog. I follow where you are coming from. We just disagree what made the jets above average the last 5 years.
See that is where you are others derail. I was only comparing Belly coaching ability to Herms that was it plain & simple. You & others take that to mean that I love Belly. I admire Belly or for that matter any coach that can win 3 SBs in now 5 years & that coach should be getting respect from fans of other teams as well. When you analyze Belly vs Herm Belly is a perfect 10 & Herm was a zero. Just look at Herm's all time record vs Belly. Since Belly & Herm were in the same division that meant we would never overtake the Pats during the Herm era which is exactly what occurred. If you are happy that Herm wasted 1,800 or so days that you are alloted on this earth to not seeing your team in & win a SB then I will say again you should now go root for the KCCs where your beloved Herm now coaches.
I didn't reads all this BS.... But, HERM IS A BOZO. Thank God he's gone and I couldn't believe the Babbling Clown actually had "Lovers". Who's that guy from Seinfeld again? Herm had NO BUSINESS being an NFL head coach - NONE at all - He has no business being a HC in KC BUT - He's got friends and he actually has the 1 situation where he just might win - A team already established... I can't wait to read and watch his mindless rambles and the way he completely ignores questions and babbles on and on about some story as a child... I can't wait to watch those Bang cartoons and LAUGH. Knowing it's no longer My team's HC that looks like a complete moron..... What a Joke. - Him and his lovers.....
