Yes, as much as I have grown to be reasonably pissed at the guy, especially the way he left this organization a mess, I do believe he will have a good year, next year. It is a matter of time for KC to go down the tubes, although the attrophy may be slower there because Peterson will probably continue to do a great job in the FO and not allow things to get out of hand like Bradway did.

KC is still doomed though. It's kinda like blood letting.

You know what? Let me just say one more thing.

When Kotite was fired...I felt very bad for him. He was a decent man...just not a good head coach. When Handley was fired from the Giants, I really felt for the guy...he was a horrible coach..and got blasted...I mean blasted by the media personally...and professionally.

What some around here have to understand about this "hermhating" is that my reason...and i will not speak for the masses...but my reason is...in business...and in life...I hate.....I mean despise bullshitters.

What the defenders here must understand, is that the guys around here that really dislike Herm, what they hate the most....was the bullshit.

There are people that work their ass of in life to move up....and then there are people that bullshit there way up the ladder.

Looking back on it...Herm bullshitted his way to a HC job. He had no experience...no philosophy....nothing...nothing that merited a HC job.

Personally...the only thing i resent over that period...was listening to his bullshit.....after bullshit lines.

Not to be too vindictive, but after the humongous pile of rubbish left by this man at Weeb Ewbank Hall, he deserves bad karma.

Yes, he was able to pile high and deep; he also went for wide - that is the Herm effect.

Personally I hope he performs just well enough to keep his job. I've always found his press conferences amusing, and now I no longer have to be conflicted about the fact that this idiot is the coach of the team I root for each Sunday.

Oh...and whats the funniest thing about the way he left this team...didnt he say the most important thing for a HC to do is to leave the team better than you found it.

Well...lets take a good long look at the scrap heap after the smoke clears...and the media has let him get away with one of the biggest bullshit statements in sports history.

I just picture him giving high fives to a mirror after spewing that kind of bullshit. "wwweeeeewwwww, baby...good one herm...they loved that one".

Why doesnt the media say..oh by the way Herm...did you leave the Jets better than you found it?

Petersen is another over rated guy look at his track record for the last 37 years. There is NOTHING else in KC then the Chiefs so by game 8 of THIS season they will be screaming for the Herms head on a platter. I am also sure Shanny is licking his chops playing 6 games vs the Shott/Shell & Herm

I spent four years in the midwest in college. Midwesterners are damned tolerant of a lot of things. Not saying New Yorkers are less tolerant but... well... yes I am. Let's face it, people grow tired of things out here in a NY minute.

But out there, I expect you'll see KC fans accepting a lot of shit for several years and not screaming much. The team will slowly erode and the long-term entertainment value will be priceless. I just wish it were happening to some other team... some team whose fans I absolutely dispise... someone like the Raiders, for example. It'll eventually get pretty ugly out there. Downright depressing, in fact.

You could be right! They take their football even more seriously than their corn-dog rodeos or their "animal husbandry" even! LOL!

The conflict is over. A great point. No matter what woe is eventually bestowed on KC we have the best seats.

I can see it now. Sunday night...the chiefs lose a game stuck on the fifty yard line...because they were out of timeouts...and this car salesman making excuses why he used a timeout in the 3rd quarter to decided what to do on fourth and inches.

"honey...tivo that for me....im making popcorn."

Seriously, I wonder if Herm is bringing in someone again to "help him" manage the clock (translation: tell him WTF to do). Not that it mattered anyway, he still managed to screw it up, but that should be the first clue for the KC fans... when they put some guy on the payroll just to sit on his hands and tell Herm WTF to do through the headset. Toooo rich! LOL

LOL...yeah!..he brought in Dick Curl again...I think he gave him a real title..instead of the one he held with the jets...you know..when hes wearing the T-shirt with the arrow pointing to Herm that says "Im with stupid".

Imagine if Herm wins the superbowl next year? I mean...Martz did with the Rams...it could happen. What a nightmare that would be. I would quit sports and start knitting. Seriously.

    :rofl2:

The guys that love Herm would have a field day. You couldnt even have a sour grapes line of "Hey....he got lucky!".

Just watching him hoist that lombardi trophy.....I think I have to vomit...see you guys later.

Don't even want to think about KC winning a SB... my wife would have to put me in a rubber room. Did Herm really bring in Dick Curl again? Seriously, I didn't know that. That's f*cking hilarious if true. Chiefs fans won't have to put up with the blank, f*cked up stare now. Instead, Herm will be seen on camera looking up to wherever Curl is sitting going, "WTF do I do now?"
