Hehehe. Each tragic author who competed in the Dionysian festivals had to enter a tetralogy: 3 short tragic plays and 1 satyr (satire). The three great tragedians of Ancient Greece were Aeschylus, Sophocles and Euripides. I...what? Herm lovers. Right.
Wrong misinformation = providing the group incorrect information day after day no difference then what jetzz, NY Junc, Tony, Dino, MisterMoss do also
Look this is a argument going nowhere. Just look at the train wreck Herm has left & all your questions are answered. Move along & forget Herm unless you wish yo transfer your fanship to the KCCs
 HOLYSMOKESSONOFAB*TCH, HAAAAAAH!!!!!!!! Congratulations. My coffee just came out of my nose. And may their stomachs roast in hell. They are committing suicide at the gates of the city! HAW HAW HAW! Don't forget that.
That's funny but, I at this point in my TGG career I'd say that fits nyjunc to a tee..... From what I see nyjunc and Champ are like Rush Limbaugh and Howard Dean locked in a room..... One guy, there's never anything wrong NEVER. The other guy thinks the World is about to end and can never be Right until it fits his whacky standards. Did junc just give me 1997 as an example of a team stumbling out of the gate? Good God.... The 1st year many of us had an ounce of hope in forever and that's where he starts. :Headshake:
I love how you guys say things like that but I've given you a million examples of things that I have not been happy w/. Yep. That doesn't count? it only counts when Herm's teams start slow? Throw away '97 then if that makes you happy but what about '98? we started 0-2 and 2-3 then in '99 we started 1-6. Were those starts quick enough for you? In our 3 playoff years under Herm we started 3-3 in '01, 2-5 in '02 and 5-0 in '04 so only really 1 of the 3 playoff years did we start really poorly. Please answer this question- would you rather start 6-1 like we did w/ Groh and mis the playoffs OR start 2-5 and win the division? I want to get off to quick starts too but I've seen a million quick starts for the Jets turn into disaster and I'd much rather my team playing well down the stretch.
Everyone deals with it how they can. You have to. When Testaverde first stepped on the field this past year, I couldn't stop shrieking. Nugent misses a FG, yep, you guessed it: shrieking. Survival techniques, everybody's got their own. JETS fans, gotta love 'em. Quirkiness rules. Which came first, the fan or the quirkiness is anyone's guess; but I think that's part of the attraction. There's science behind it - even though it borders on alchemy. I have a theory about it that I've shared here before. Morbidly fascinating, indeed. As a matter of fact, I think I'll be going back to my old avatar in a few minutes, the one I was sporting when I very first joined - for Old Time's Sake. Being a fan of this team is like hallucinating in a brain fever. Instead of "I've fallen, and I can't get up...", I often say to myself while watching a game, "I'm tripping, and I can't get down." And I don't do drugs.
Junc...i respect some of things you say...and I truly respect your love for the team. With that said...being always right..and not happy with the way things are going are not the same. Jetblues quote was that you are never wrong..and you responded with the above quote. The problem you and Champ will always be is that you both are pretty stubborn...and will never give in. Being stubborn can be a good trait...it would just be nice for one of you to sometimes admit you might not have been right about something. Many of us can give nice lists about what we were wrong about...I could possibly write a book...well...a short story.
I'm closer to Junc's view of the team than yours, but I agree with your point. Junc's very stubborn like you say, and sometimes not reasonable in making his points. But at least he defends his points with sincerity and stats, not "I'm rubber, you're glue" nonsense. And he doesn't insult his critics with fallacious knocks about their loyalty to the team. You have to give him that.
