How quick we are to Label. Typical of the Conservative. BTW, Just because I don't like Gov.Bush means I'm a liberal? Kinda narrow minded and presumptuous no? Don't worry. We've come to expect that from his supporters.
I'm a fan. Champ's got some great points... I don't have a ton of time to read every post on here but, I do spend some time on other boards and every board needs their "Champ".... It's how others react to him that drags it out... I'd rather read Champ and debate the points he brings up wether I agree or not, than read that guy who 100% sticks up for every move the Jets make and have made under Bradway and Herm - THAT GUY makes me shake my head... Champ just needs to say his peace and not go toe to toe with all the people he riles up and drags the discussion into the mud....
Just defending myself to all those silly posters on the board like MD/NY Junc/JWWS/Dino/Tony/Jetszz/sect 134 just to name a few who constantly berate me. Thanks for your support & understanding
Please explain why posters like us are "silly"? You like to cry when you feel like you're being personally attacked yet you constantly throw around garbage like this.
I've never seen champ debate anything........just take one side of an issue, and tell everyone their wrong if they disagree....there is a difference
Please share with us Champ's "great points"? I'd also like to know how you can say you're rather read Champ's posts and debate the points he brings up when he's someone who pretty much 100% bashes every move the Jets make and have made under TB and Herm, yet say that the guy who 100% supports the moves makes you shake your heard? Aren't these two types of people doing the EXACT same thing except from different end of the spectrum? Funny thing is to me, I don't see anyone who typically fits the description of 100% love all the moves type. Very few if any people agree with every move made but have varying degress of issues with them, and certainly not the majority of the people who Champ seems to debate.
Amen. That is exactly it. Plus he takes the easiest view, the one where he's guaranteed to be right the majority of the time. What's worst is he assumes (or disregards what oone actually says) that if you don't agree with his side you must have the exact opposite position.
He was 110% RIGH about Bradway and Herm. At this point in time - Between Bradway practically admitting he didn't put in the proper time and the Way Herm ran away - It's quite obvious that Bradway, at least, was in over his head.... Herm - LOL. Unbelievably bad coach. I read people STILL sticking up for these guys.... Especially Bradway - Is there one thing NYjunc would do differently?.. Face it - SOME people thought Bradway was wrong from day 1 - I thought it was the most assinine thing in the world to take over a team and Run the team as a "Win Now" team YET - Change the systems completely opposite to the older veteran talent available and to hire a HC with ZERO experience and frankly horrible X's and O's knowledge..... I thought it was assinine to trade UP for Robertson and now we learn his knees were always in question... Crazy stuff.... On and On...yet I'll read junc say something like this front office is taking over a team in BETTER shape... And you can't debate the guy - He'll just keep coming at you with a ton of BS and twisted stats... He'll defend every single move and THAT makes me shake my head..... I guess the fact that I agree with a lot of what Champ writes makes me biased against a guy like Nyjunc.
So basically, you're just irate over the fact that Junc has a differing opinion of the team then, huh? It's all perception Blue... half-full versus half-empty. But hey, if you really got a beef with Junc, maybe he'll meet ya behind the local 'Bees. Oh, and would you care to explain how he can be 110% correct? Was he 50% right on Herm and 60% right on Bradway?
How can he be 100% correct when much of what he said about them was based on pure SPECULATION and OPINION? Are you referring to the whole we won't win a SB with them? Nobody is arguing that the duo of Herm and TB didn't bring us a SB, but that's a far cry from saying they suck and did no good which is basically what Champ does. Plus, come on now, let's be realistic, how hard is it to say that about any FO? Funny how Champ harps on how he was right about Herm and TB but then glosses over the FACT that he basically admitted that when BP took over the team he did think they'd win so there he was 100% wrong. Yet when he's right the head coach and GM is incompetent yet when he's wrong the guy is still good? No bias there, eh? What does sticking up for them have to do with them saying every move that they made was right? Nobody has done that especially NYJunc. He's pointed out things that he didn't agree with. Just because you don't agree with someone's opinion doesn't make them wrong or you right. There were many moves the FO made that I think we're fine that others complain about and I actually do think this FO is taking over a team that is in better shape overall. I can see how people can disagree but I can also back up my point with enough logic and sense. Funny how you complain about Junc using BS when that's all Champ's post consist of and you like them. To me it just seems you like when someone posts something that agrees with your thinking whether it has any facts or is complete BS but if someone doesn't agree then you are a bit more critical. That may be an oversimplification but that's what it seems from what you just said.
My god from one who has ONLY posted misinformation for 5 years on this board. Amazing how some can never see the forest from the trees.
Not just differing opinions but, I haven't seen junc criticize the Front office 1 time while we all sit here now and it's quite obvious that they had a ton of shortcomings... junc spends in inordinate amount of time defending two guys who frankly looked like like Bozos in a number of situations.. I don't think people dislike Champs opinions as much as they feel he's probably a little arrogant about it.... But, he loves his team and I think it's harder to see a team and front office make bad move after bad move when You know it's wrong and watch them nose dive into a mess, than it is to just sit back and rationalize each move and say "They did their best, we're only fans and they know best"..... What Champ does takes more ballz - He should probably be a little more diplomatic about it - But, I fully understand the feeling of watching a train wreck in progress and not being able to stop it - While someone next to you says - "Don't worry the train wreck is a good effort". Look at this draft now - We have potential franchise QB's at the top of this draft and people question wether it's worth trading UP for a franchise QB... Now think back to what Bradway did to get Robertson.... HOLY JESUS WAS THAT STUPID.... Paying all that money as well as picks for 1 guy who they say had a knee problem back then.. Plus the guy is questionable wether he fits in our system plus we see the guy actually needs a huge body next to him to be effective - So, while many thought we were at least paying huge money for a Rock Solid Run stuffing MONSTER - We actually got a penetrating, degenerative knee PANZY.... For ALL that money and picks... I said it then - IF you pay that kind of ransom for 1 guy he better be freaking Superman himself - NO DOUBT... But, Bradway, after looking like a Bozo in deals with Washington had to try and save face so, basically he caved in to the media and fans screaming and made everything WORSE.... Once again, the guy Panicked. The Guy is Unbelievably Stupid Football wise AND he works part time... I give him a little credit for his scouting and draft work - Every time I've heard him talk about college players he seems on the ball - He's just not management material and doesn't know how to assemble talent properly and work contracts, a cap and the draft. And Herm is nothing more than a motivator - Bradway comes here claims it a WIN NOW team and hires a guy with ZERO experience in even running one side of the ball and changes the systems drastically - It's just unbelievable - Unfathomable, that I can read someone rationalize ALL THAT complete ineptness with the fact that they still won some games in the age of parity. To me it's not about just competing - it's about building a foundation - Herm and Bradway tried to -plug holes in a leaking dingy and did an ok job at that but, they NEVER got close to building a Championshipt team - they built a team that IF They stayed Healthy and If they caught 100 breaks COULD weasel into something.... That's NOT what we should settle for....
100% INCORRECT. The problem w/ you guys is you spend all of your time bshing Herm and the FO that you never, ever give them any credit and when someone does give them credit that's all you see. I have criticized both Herm and TB on moves that I think deserved criticism but I have always defended misguided noions by other posters who just bash and bash and bash and don't see the whole picture.
The whole picture????????? COME ON NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT is what I'm talking about - The people who rationalize each little or major mistake the HC and GM made a along the way had no vision of the Whole picture....NONE.... It was just "Look at the playoffs we were in - or, a lot of coaches make clock mistakes... Well, the cap made them do it, Parcells blah blah blah"... NOW we have a Front office that will look at the Whole picture and not be overly loyal to a veteran name player here or there and not run out to get the next Combine stud to make their public perception seem better after obvious Flops..... That's how the Pats do it - X player wants the moon and a truckload of money - SEE YA, we can coach well enough without that guy - Bradway was like HURRY PAY HIM PAY HIM!!!!!! Not sure what kind of coach Mangini will make but, at least these guys see the big Picture and attack this team as a business and not what the fans and media are saying that day. At least these guys will work REAL hours like an NFL GM works. At least Mangini has coached even 1 side of the ball and comes with set ideas of how to run that side of the ball instead of hiring a guy in complete contrast to the talent and instead of forcing him to coach some hybrid system that they try to make up along the way.... Herm was supposedly a DB specialist and he couldn't even do that - first hanging his hat on the gun toting freak from TB who was of course friends of the family... And changing Ellis to DT????????????? JESUS - You hire Ted Cotrell to run a defense, at least let him do his job..... See, in contrast, Mangini hired a younger guy and will work with him...Together they have experience... Forcing Cotrell to coach a made up defense that Herm never even ran himself UGHHHHHH. Heck, this new Front office may be a complete BUST - But, I won't be able to say that the new front office came in here and tried to patch holes and claim the team was ready to GO FOR IT while they changed the systems radically in contrast to the talent AND signed the older guys who didn't fit to extensions.... Mangini comes in here and will run a defense based on what the talent here can deliver - WIN OR LOSE, You just have to attack it that way. You can't fall in love with draft picks and players and overpay the way TB continually did. Again - No one can tell if this new staff will succeed - And heck, they are young and surprised many of us by staying young through out the staff BUT - They're also not running around telling everyone we can win right away while force feeding a WCO on players not suited for it and making up some hydrid Defense..... AT LEAST THEY LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE.... So, what moves did you disagree with?
Champ, this was really a stupid thread to post. Herm is gone, I'm happy, but get over it and move on.
You also deserve kudos since you to were anti Herm almost from the beginning as well. As for the thread if NY Junc & MD & Tony & Dino were so in love with Herm then they should become KCC fans since for sure we know that are not NYJ fans. In Dino & Tony's cases they should be removed from there positions of authority for dispensing misinformation for the last 5 years
