If the Jets actually manage to win in Seattle somehow I'll get very very excited. Until then I'm a doom and gloomer for the rest of this year. Can't wait to see what gets run out there to try. If White's effen ribs aren't OK to go I think I'd take my chances with Flacco after observing the last couple weeks. With Streveler as #2 if things get too intense and Joe needs to get his feet up and rest for a series or two.
The Jets roller coaster motion sickness inducing journey toward a long sought after wild card berth inclusion is not as much of an improbable alignment of the stars (we're talking MACaroni and TUnA fish here), as it is more the improbable possibility of the Jets holing out the next two games. Seattle and their loud supportive crowd (compared to loud and abusive) poses an urgent character test for a team which has regressed to the all too familiar done and dusted form in December. And as if that's not high enough of a mountain to overcome in the Pacific Northwest, they must also shake off two ghosts of Jets past, Geno and Carroll, who have an opportunity to haunt them once again after all these years. Since this is a team which is no stranger to being spooked (ask Sam Darnold), the Jets will need nothing short of paranormal activity to flip the ominous script seemingly playing out. The CS now has the formidable challenge of picking up and dusting off a rudderless demoralized squad so they can be prepared, at the very least, to go down showing some fight. Even veteran broadcaster Al Michaels would have difficulty time in believing in this miracle. Should be fun to see which one of these AFC East gangs that couldn't shoot straight ends up staggering their way into the final playoff spot. It's like watching a race where blindfolded competitors are running in reverse. Hardly an unexpected finish, since the recent playoff expansion cash grab virtually guarantees several lower-caliber teams a complimentary E-ZPass to the playoffs. Problem is nothing comes EZ for a franchise which is well adept at turning mole hills into mountains.
https://forums.theganggreen.com/threads/im-done-with-this-team-this-franchise.98390/ LMFAO -- 8 days ago man. Some people just need to not come on TGG and post their frustrations after an L. Holy fucking shit.
We need to tank these last 2 games for 2023 draft position. Seriously. Losing in the first round in snowy cold Buffalo doesn't justify the 10+ point drop in the draft, every round. JK!...I hope we break Geno's other jaw. Then squish the fish. Then skin them buffalo bills aliveeeee!!!
The time to tank was 2 years ago when we were in the running for the first overall pick in the draft and could have selected Trevor Lawrence. The Jets would be a Super Bowl contender THIS year if that had happened.
Based on my 40+ years of rooting for this team I fully expect them to lose to Seattle, but then beat Miami to knock Miami out of playoffs, but also lose 5 places of draft position in the process, only to watch a run on OTs right in front of the Jets in the 1st round, and a similar run on centers in the 2nd round.
I posted weeks ago, when the Jets were winning, saying how I was looking forward to the inevitable bi-polar swings that were coming. The Bi-Polar Express has gone off the rails.
The Jets ALMOST hold their fate in their own hands. Best part about Miami and Pats is that they play each other. Dolphins win, Jets win out they are in. Otherwise they need the Bills to beat the Pats in the last week, which is doable if the Bills aren't resting their players, and even possible without them.
There's the nightmare... Pats beat Miami because Tua doesn't play and then the Bills rest their starters handing the Pats a win. Jets win both games but are left ass out...
There Is no way I'm allowing myself to be hopeful right now, especially with the Patriots directly linked to our playoff hopes. Fuck that type of let down. Especially with the Patriots tied to It. It would be great If It happened, beyond great, but, fuck the Patriots.
Maybe the Fins/Jets game will be for the playoffs for both teams. Back to the 80s! They should have Dan Marino and Ken O'brien on hand for the game.
The Bills are fighting for the #1 seed. They can clinch the #1 seed this weekend if the Chiefs lose to the Broncos at home (LOL not happening) and they beat the Bengals on Monday night. Buffalo will need to win the Pats game. I don't see KC losing these next two weeks vs the Broncos, Raiders.
BTW ..does anyone remember when we ever beat the Seahawks? My heart and soul feel we can win up there but... Actually ..I just checked. We have lost 3 outa 4 from 2009 but won in 2016
