now theres the surprise of the day...lol...if we take him...might have to make you wear a t-shirt....bush in 06!
I agree with your first 2 need's If I were evaluating this team my needs would look as follows OL/ QB / RB / NT / WR / DB-DE With OL/QB/RB all being tied as the top need on this team. Ellis Oh yeah... Curtis better than 1/2 the backs is really funny.
I know Curtis has deteriorated significantly... but he would still be starting on: 49ers Titans Cards Vikings Browns Lions Saints
He would not be starting on the Lions... Kevin Jones is a good back. He would not be starting on the Saints, theres this guy... oh yeah.. Duece Mcallister, but he was injured mid year. He wouldn't start on the Titan's either. Brown is the starter who supplanted Eddie George, would they replace him with our fossil... HIGHLY doubtful. The Browns have Ruben Droughns and Lee Suggs, and this team is rebuilding, so no CM would not start there either. The others... Well I gave you the Niners.. that will change this year they will draft either OLine or a RB. I like Gore there if they get a line. The Cards... they drafted Arrigton to start... obviously that didn't work out. So thats one. The Vikes running game is by committee... they have yet to replace Rob Smith, but the three young guys they have there, when healthy and focused are Curtis and thensome, so I don't know about that. I like Moe Williams as the starter there, but curtis could start here... So, I was off by two. Outside the Jets, last year Curtis would start on 3 teams. Yahhh, make's me want him to retire even more now, Ellis
I'm not saying that these teams would trade for Martin, I'm saying if he was there, I believe he's be starting... But again, my main point here is that Curtis is a better RB at this point in his career than CHAD is QB, thus making QB a more imminent need... name ONE team that Chad would be starting for?
Name: DonTrell Moore Position: RB School: New Mexico Height: 5'10" Weight: 210 lbs Scouting Reports: DonTrell absolutely exploded this year. He put any final worries of his injury behind by rushing for over 1300 yards, and being named the MWC's Offensive Player of the year. He is the best RB of all time in the Mountain West Conference passing former San Diego St. Aztec RB Larry Ned, last year. He has all the tools needed to become an elite running back at the next level, speed, vision, quickness, good footwork, strength, and most importantly he attacks the holes with great intensity. With the help of his coaches, he has learned to play more physical, and has worked hard on getting better at pass blocking, a skill that is necessary to start at the professional level. In High School, DonTrell played golf allowing him to develop incredicble patience which he has carried onto the football field. Two years ago DonTrell was a premiere back in the MWC but was hampered by a sprained MCL in his left knee. Regardless of his tremendous talent, this is the deepest RB pool I have seen in the last 5 years. It is so deep that a great back like DonTrell might even slide as low as the 4th round. In any other draft this guy would be off the boards no later than the 2nd round. This is a player at the running back position that has excellent vision and overall skill. He has excellent vision and shake and bake moves, who has the knack for always leaning forward after contact, and consistently gains (YAC) yards after contact. He may lack the top end speed to take it the distance on any touch of the ball, but he has enough speed to keep defenses honest and on their heels, and I feel he has the skill sets to be a feature back at any level. He has a knack for setting up his blockers consistently maximizing each and every run attempt, and possessing the ability to run effectively inside the tackles or outside on the corners, with the leg strength to run through arm tackles and tacklers. With his low to the ground running style he is able to absorb and at the same time deliver blows to oncoming defenders, he possesses the running skill to keep defenders off balance in one on one situations with his quick feet and moves. He also possesses the light feet in open spaces to keep defenders guessing, with the explosion out of cuts, quickness in and out stops, and change of direction needed for any level. He has a good pair of hands coming out of the backfield, which makes him that more multidimensional and gives defenses that much more to defense against; he will even line up in the slot position as a wide receiver on known passing downs, and to add to his value before his injury even returned punts. He is an every down running back who can stay on the field at all times with no substitutions needed, and I still feel he has franchise back type skills.
agreed. but chad's situation is more due to his physical situation. Martin put up poor numbers last year because an o-line needs to make holes, they didn't. Plus I think he was hurt all season. He'll be back to form this season, and surprise a lot of you.
thats stupid, you cant guarantee anyones stardom.......i guarantee this. bush is picked up by the texans he tries to dance in the backfield and gets snapped in two.
Absolutely. I love it when people credit the O-Line for CMart's NFL-leading '04 season, then say it was all Martin's fault he had a cruddy '05 even when the line was in tatters. But don't get them wrong, they "love" Curtis. I guess that's why Tina says love's a second-hand emotion.
I really think she was referring to somebody getting jiggy with themselves with that line.
