Iggy - nobody is talking about suspensions. and I already did give an example of a dui player being benched. It was 3 or 4 seaons ago. OT w/the Jags you can look it up. In the recent past few yrs some teams have apparently decided not to take DUIs as a basis for benching. Today the Jets joined them and I disagree with the Jets. Iggy - you asked me for examples of his history w/alcohol related problems and I gave them to you. The stallworth tragedy had a great deal to do w/Edwards. His best friend and he drank up 3500K worth of vodka and other booze at a south beach hotel and Donte left in the wee hours and killed some poor guy near south beach. Apparently that had little impact on Braylon because a yr later he is out drunk driving with more NFL players. The Ohio booze fueled bar fight and subsequent criminal probation apparently doesn't register with this guy either. This is a person who continually gets away with his crap because he is an NFL player - in fact he tried to get the NYCPD to let him go based on who he was. Unfortunately it is going to take yet another tragedy before the NFL owners wake up and decide to start treating this epidemic seriously. Its really pathetic, but it seems like one of these guys is going to have to kill or hurt somebody while drunk driving in order for the NFL to get the message. Mr. Johnson had the opportunity to do the right thing here and he failed to do it. That is on him.
