    It's nice to dream.

We passed on Bridgewater, so were stuck in purgatory.

    Life of a Jet fan.

In a vaccum, I think geno has more physical talent. But, there are two huge issues with that statement:

    1) NFL players aren't assessed in a vaccum. They are assessed within the context of how they fit into a locker-room and onto a team. Fitz is the starting quarterback of a 3-1 football team . . . Until we aren't in a position of luxury, the coaches aren't going to be thinking about playing with the single most delicate position in all of sports (especially since the status quo happens to be popular, both in the locker room as well as in the eyes of the team's long-suffering fans)

    2) There is a lot more to playing the position than physical ability.

People keep saying Geno isn't respected in the locker room what makes people think he isn't? I know Geno hasn't done enough to warrant him getting the job back, so he's the backup for now.

Oh, that's how you think? If so, it's more like the "life of a douche bag."

Maybe "people" keep saying/writing that Geno isn't respected in the locker-room, however, I am certainly not one of them. All I wrote was that Fitzpatrick IS respected (seemingly quite a bit) and that the decision to stick with Fitz seems to be a relatively popular one.

With Fitz, we know what we are getting. We are getting a game manager who can do just enough to win games, but can never be relied on to win the big one.

With Geno, there's still a lot of questions. End of last season and this pre-season, he drastically improved. With him, maybe, JUST maybe he has the x-factor to pull off something crazy.

I never seen anything written about it, not saying you're wrong, but I've never seen it. The reason for sticking with Fitz is simple, we're winning and he's not screwing up.

G Smith, known for not being the brightest bulb in the pack, hopefully at least has the intelligence to try to learn from Fitz while on the bench.

    Wait, are you bring serious?

The recent articles about Fitz texting formation and coverage quizzes to Marshall and Decker at all hours of the night and morning?

You haven't read any articles about how much Fitz is helping Petty?

About how he's a calming influence on the offense?

You haven't read any of those?

Yeah because Teddy looks great this year with his two touchdowns and 190 yards per game passing.

Oh stop. The dude has a Swiss cheese line and one receiver.

He's going to be awesome. We'd be a SB contender with him and our offense.

Have you watched any of his play? He's a brilliant QB.

Yes I have. I'm just not sold on him. He's not terrible but he was supposed to take a big step this year no? He's a very conservative passer hence the great completion percentage.

I don't think he's the worst player in the world or will be but to me he doesn't look like he'll ever be an elite quarterback. He should be a good one given his elite accuracy if his body can take an NFL beating.

Derek Carr is really looking like the one that got away.

They were my top 2 QBs for 2 years.

Carr has a stronger arm and Teddy reads defenses better.

Both will be top tier QBs with 2-3 years.

Teddy has no protection and is running for his life. Whereas Tanny is chucking the ball out if bounds when he gets pressured, Teddy is still looking downfield and trying to complete passes.

The dude is accurate and smart.
