The big test @ New England is looming Redskins should be an easy win as long as we get an average Fitzpatrick.....I see our defense with Shledon back absolutely destroying their offense, especially off of a bye How has Fitzpatrick played against the Patriots in the past? I really have no idea, just curious
Fitz will struggle against teams that take away the run and short passing game, particularly as the weather gets worse. He usually knows where to go with ball but can't always get his arm to deliver it. I think he's good at everything except the arm. He's kind of the anti-Geno.
Being bored... 2014 w/ Houston--didn't play NE 2013 w/ TN--didn't play NE W/ Buffalo 2012 0-2 2011 1-1 2010 0-2 2009 0-1 (didn't start both games) 1-6 2008 w/ Cinn--didn't play NE whoa, bummer, dude.
Doesn't matter if Fitz throws five TDS against NE and we still lose. Geno fan boys going to be in here asking for his head.... trolls gonna troll. They can't live with the fact that Glass Geno isn't starting.
88 votes for Ryan Fitzpatrick (75.2%) 29 votes for Geno Unitas (24.8%) Let's keep beating this dead horse.
Come on man....it's just not true I mean there might be a few of these out there but 3 to 1 isn't that crazy of a split especially when you consider most are cautious and conservative by nature Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Didn't expect him to have a winning record just because most QBs don't against the *****s ...did you check to see what kinda stats he was putting up? I'm about to when I get home Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
If Fitz outright sucks for a significant length of time, then they have a point. But I think even if we lose the next couple of games, Fitz will still be than Geno. But that's the rub with Geno fan boys, the argument "he has a higher upside than Fitzpatrick!" They live in this delusional universe where he could still be a franchise QB. There may not be many of them. But they are hard to drowned out.
If the S.S. Fitz starts taking on water, there's no other choice than Geno. But don't try and tell me that Geno Smith just ain't a dumb motherfucker under pressure. Pro Style offense my ass.
Most of his time in Buffalo New England had a pretty good defense. Their secondary is going to get exposed at some point and hopefully that's by us. No one can stop Marshall or Decker who are also better than anyone he had in Buffalo. Even though we have an elite defense we're going to have to put up some points to beat them. I think Fitz plays one of his better games against NE. More worried about how he plays against Rex, DEN given the chance, and HOU later in the year if they figure it out.
Until injury or the wheels fall off the offense, Fitz will finish the season, Geno might never see the field with the Jets again, I read where someone pointed out the six ints, from Fitz let's remember 3 of those came in the Phil game, missing 2 thirds of main weapons, at full strength he preforms much better, hey we all know isn't Rogers, he needs everything in place, he won't the game on his own, but on this team with the veteran players around him, he fits in just fine Sent from my SM-G928T using Tapatalk
From Fanside: Bowles might be that great field general this franchise has so badly needed. He commands instant respect with his almost-paternal demeanor. His strong-silent-type style plays well to the team’s veteran leadership, and that respect resounds with the young players. There are no unhappy campers on the roster — other than brooding bench-warmer Geno Smith — and no “unnamed sources” in the media. Bowles comes from the Bill Parcells coaching tree, and he is already proving himself as the Jets most impressive head coach since “Tuna” (who departed the team’s sidelines after just two seasons). If you are under age 30, you likely only know the inspirational rah-rah of Herm Edwards, the Belichick-ian non-speak of Eric Mangini, and the foolhardy blather of Rex Ryan. If you’re at least middle-aged — and endured that seven-season twilight-zone ofBruce Coslet and Rich Kotite, sandwiched by one year of an overmatched Pete Carroll — Bowles might already be the best you’ve ever witnessed. He has certainly benefited from the roster upgrade overseen by Maccagnan, a spending spree necessitated by the previous GM’s spendthrift ways that nearly destroyed the franchise. For the better part of a decade, the Jets had become a national punchline. This season’s one lethal blow — to Geno’s jaw — is both a relic of a previous regime, and a stinging indictment of how far things had deteriorated when left to the natural inclinations of owner Woody Johnson. Special thanks to embattled commissioner Roger Goodell for foisting Charley Casserly into the Jets front office search, that resulted in the brilliant hirings of the new GM and HC of the NYJ.
Some believed Tebow could be a viable NFL QB. There you have it. No reason to not believe in GeNO for them.
If Geno were to ever give us a 2:1 wins/losses & TD/Ints and a playoff win then I'd be on the GeNO wagon. Point being he's far worse then Tebow.
I'm surprised this isn't 100% Fitz right now!!! He's playing at nearly a Pro Bowl level, what more do some people want?!?! .... unbelievable there are actually fans who want a QB switch when we are 3-1 and Fitz has been playing lights out! Some Jets fans will never be satisfied I guess.
