It's amazing to see Jets QBs have never had a 30 TD season. There were nine QBs who hit the 30 TD level in 2014. Let's see if Fitz can hit the big three-o on Sunday.

Ferguson has given up the third most QB hits in the league.

He's given up the 6th most QB hurries in the league (with Breno coming in first)

Ferguson has given up 56 pressures this year which is good for second in the league.

    He's in decline.

so both our tackles are awful in pass protection and our qb has the best pass attempt to sack rate in the league. makes sense

    something isn't adding up here

Sacks don't tell the whole story. Everything adds up. Fitz is under pressure a lot. But he's doing a good job of picking up the pressure and getting rid of the ball.

Fitzpatrick has the 7th least amount of time to throw in the league at 2.48 seconds. With the best being Tyrod Taylor at 3.23.

Chan Gailey is running a scheme designed to get the ball out very quickly. He's asking Fitzpatrick to make 2 reads tops and there are a lot of screens where he only has to make one read. The deep throws are all timing routes where Fitzpatrick is throwing there from the get-go and never looks anywhere else unless he's under pressure in which case he scrambles. He scrambles a lot anyway.

Breno and D'Brick have not been good this year. The thing that has kept the passing offense stable is that Mangold and Carpenter have not allowed much pressure right up the gut. When Winters loses his man the guy is directly in Fitzpatrick's vision and so he can move and avoid the rush.

that is my only gripe with Fitz this year. Those blocked passes. They can really kill you sometimes. But, I am sure most are not his fault. They just give me the heebie-jeebies

What's interesting about that is for years I always thought that smaller QB's get more passes blocked for obvious reasons. But I believe this year the QB with the least passes batted down at the line is Russell Wilson

Arguably a Pro Bowl season 3700 yds 29 tds and 12 ints with a game missed and a game left

Yeah i think sometimes it is an awareness thing. It is the kind of play that can easily go the other way. I recognize it happens sometimes, but it happens too much with Ryan

The Legend of FITZMAGIC will live on forever. You will tell your kids the story. The journeyman, going from team to team. Never playing that well. Geno Smith getting punched in the jaw, giving Fitz a chance. Fitz more than delivering with one of the best seasons for a Jets QB ever. Your kids won't believe the story, of course, but it actually happened. :)

Look at the numbers across the board for QB's this year. Fitzpatrick is having an average season for a good QB and well below the top guys. That's great for us because we're used to crap play at QB but there's no way he's a Pro Bowl QB. He might be the MVP though. Different criteria there. Brandon Marshall would also be in the running on that one and Marshall is having a Pro Bowl year as well.

the downside of being a 6'1" QB. those are kind of inevitable

good numbers and a good season, but really no case for the probowl.

Brady had an MVP season, Carr, Taylor, Dalton all had better numbers then fitz. rivers was slightly better as well.

I dont think you can give him the nod over brady, carr, or dalton
