There we go right on que. Fitz can't throw the deep ball. The back shoulder is the best he can do. Marshall has him beat, nah lets throw it 5 yards behind him. Good shit noodle arm Sixpatrick.
If this team goes down you might as well just turn your tv off. If the other teams scores more than 20 you might as well turn your tv off. Thanks for giving us the best chance to win Sixpatrick.
I'm fine with eating crow on this one. I still don't think Geno would be much better for this team. Man does Fitzy suck though, but the defense was equally shitty in timely spots. The team is horribly coached too. I'm losing respect for Bowles every week.
The point was see what Geno could do because we KNOW Fitz is not good enough......No point in wasting $10 mill + and killing our chances in the process
Fitz's play is what I expected. Decent ability to drive the team downfield and score points as long the defense keeps the score down. But I also thought the defense was going to be elite and the 12M would be worth it to get us into the playoffs. That isn't the case so Fitz has to throw downfield against good defenses which he can't do without getting picked off.
I'm just never going to agree with you or anyone on "not knowing what we have in Geno. Dudes played in 31 professional games. Regardless, this team needs a quarterback badly. It pains me to see a guy like Dak Prescott in and immediately look like a pro while we have Fitzpatrick out there with four touchdowns and ten picks.
About as true as it gets. I'm thoroughly confused by the playcalling as well. We bring in Forte as one of the best pass catchers out of the backfield and pair him with Powell, another good receiving threat and we have absolutely no screen game, and shit barely even any checkdown completions.
Genos played 31 professional games right off the bat in a terrible situation (Rex/no wr's) vs Fitz playing 100+ in this league to confirm what he is...garbage Geno very well may be bad too but the smart decision was obviously Geno vs Petty and I said it months ago
We were something like second-last in passing defense in the league coming into week4. For a team massively invested in defense this is abominable. If our defense was playing like last season we'd have a much more effective offense - longer ball control, more chances, less need to force throws. That said: 9 Interceptions over 2 weeks is brutal. I mean I know you're generally going to get more INTs when you're playing from behind in the 4th, but that's just brutal. I know not every INT is on the QB - but enough of these have been. Fitz was supposed to be the guy who doesn't lose games for you, at the very least. He hasn't been that guy.
Fitz isn't the answer Geno DEF isn't the answer seems like in my lifetime this sad joke of a franchise won't ever find that franchise QB we all desire ... oh well ... let the misery live on always and forever ... God save us all
I'd much rather see Petty than more of the Geno shit-show. Petty is a lot more intriguing because he's virtually an unknown.
Mornhinweg had a lot of success as an OC with SF and Philly. The only time he failed as an OC was here.
