Why would the CS risk starting Fitz? at best he will be a backup... Solid vet backup Qb's get $3-6M a year. That's what Fitzpatrick is looking at on his next deal most likely.
I leave it up to Fitz. If he feels he can play, then let him play, since its pain management. An injured Fitz is better than a less injured Geno. And based on reports it doesn't seem like rest is going to solve the issue for him.

You can't play QB with one hand, the Jets don't want to tip their hand as to who will be starting but there's no chance Fitz can play the season as a one handed QB.
