Gotta wonder what crap the media will spin next week after we beat the living snot out of Dalton and the Bungles.
It was the right call, plain and simple. The ref threw the flag immediately. There is absolutely no question whatsoever that the correct call was made. Skip and SAS make their money the same way Madonna made it: by making themselves controversial and the center of attention. I have no idea why anyone listens to either of these buffoons, to be honest. That they made a debate over something as black and white and that call at the end of the game shows that they only care about creating controversy for the sake of ratings, and not about actual facts. First Take is an awful show from top to bottom, and it mars what is otherwise a damn good network, IMO. I love ESPN, I just hate FT and the cast of blowhards and idiots that form up their panel. If I want to see intelligent debate, I watch PTI. Wilbon and Kornheiser know their shit, and do it right.
I hear ya, all I was really getting at there is that it's dissatisfying to see your team win when you don't really think they deserved to win. The Jets outplayed the Patriots on Sunday (and also on that Thursday night, when you get right down to it) so "stealing one" would have felt a little hollow. A win is a win though, you're right, and you don't usually think about a game that was played in October by the time you get to the end of the year. Can they be Halloween Oreos? Unless "bath of cookies" is a euphemism for something nasty. Haha...
Why is it a bad rule? The damn players asked for the rule for safety. How does the rule make the game worse? Just a dumb statement.
Lol, I just saw on ESPN coples committed the same penalty in that game, an refs didn't call it, lol, patriots fans will have more to cry about now, called karma
First, Brady goes down to the 'butt-push penalty' (aka, the 'TUCKS rule' haha), now the Red Sox go down in game 3 to the 'obstruction rule'!!! Maybe Boston is cursed. As for the Red Sox, there's a good video summary of the call at the end of this link. Man that one announcer sounds JUST like Phil Simms! http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/b...ion-call-claim-game-3-bosox-article-1.1497890
guess what, in a couple of weeks people will stop talking about this, and the only remnant of it will be the +1 in the win column.
Love when Boston doesn't get the calls on a correct ruling TWICE it's the greatest tragedy in America. Fuck you Pats and Red Sox
How could they have been robbed on a play that if reversed would not have netted them a win? An obvious TD pass called incomplete that would've netted a win is "robbed", getting destroyed the second half and having a penalty called that allows a re-kick field goal with an opponent already deep in your territory is not "robbed"
