Thats the thing if I remember correctly people were not all that high on JPP and Smith as to were they were picked and it worked out pretty good to this point.
I like Mercilus a lot, dont get me wrong, I just dont expect him (let alone anyone we draft) to be a top 5 passrusher in this league- JPP is right there and Aldon Smith looks like he will be soon. IMO thats very high standards and wouldnt be fair to hold him to. If the Jets draft him, I would be very happy though and hope one day he could be that passrusher that Rex has missed since Baltimore. And this board was very high on Smith (pretty sure Johnny’s avy was Aldon Smith for a long period of time) and he was seen as the best passrusher in the draft by many. I thought he would go around 12 or so, but went 7th (I believe)... so he went a few spots higher which isnt much
