Pace played in the preseason last year then sat out the 1st four games, so I'm sure it will work the same here.
If Holmes was suspended for 12 games, I still would have done it. A 5th rounder is not going to contribute in 16 games what Holmes will contribute in 4 games. Holmes would be something like 4 games, 25 catches, 340 yards, 2 TDs. If a fifth rounder has that kind of a season, it would be a good find.
One thing I was kinda thinking about Since we now have 3 top receivers this obviously means the Jets are going to work up plenty of plays/formations with 3 wrs. Being that Holmes isnt going to play the first 4 weeks im trying to figure out how things will be run that first month. Do we use Clowney in our 3 WR sets, or do we just avoid them all together (ala last year) until Holmes comes back ? Not really a big deal, but im looking forward to what kind of improvements Clowney makes now that he knows that if he ever wants to become a starter his time to prove it is very limited.
