Not an opinion, pure fact. I don't like PFF all that much, they had him ranked as a top 5 in terms of coverage from the linebacker position. Stats back up what we saw on the field.

Pagano wouldn't be a good hire for him I think.

Pagano would be a threat to his job. First sign of trouble some peope will want him to take over. Also why I'm against Rex for DC.

He needs to make a good, smart hire for DC.

Gregg Williams is perfect. I don't know much about Vance Joseph it seems like he would be a good hire too.

Yes Gase needs to show intelligence when building this TEAM.

It's not about collecting names, ex-coaches. It's about bringing in people who can do the job AND complement one another.

Pagano & Rex would bring the possibility of dissension from the media, some fans NOT good hires IMO for DC.

Hiring Pagano would be the best move for the TEAM, just not for Gase. He's a great coach and a better head coach than our head coach.

No he's not but this is exactly what I'm talking about.

If Gase hires Pagano or Rex he's a dumb@ss. Which would go against what I've read about him that he's very smart.

Gregg Williams is perfect. Vance Joseph could be a fit too but I don't know much about him.

I also don't give a shit if he hires a "threat to his job" or not. Hire the best coordinator who wants the job and be done with it.

Never finished worse than .500 with a healthy Luck, 3 playoff appearances in 5 years with Luck, had a notoriously awful GM that refused to protect the franchise QB which lead to a major injury... but you know what, you're right, he ran them RIGHT into the ground.

you are giving him credit for a year when he was in the hospital all year and Bruce Arians coached the team. Sometimes it helps to read a little more than wikipedia or whatever.

he was similar to Rex Ryan, early success then everything fell apart. And Rex never had a talent anything close to Andrew Luck at QB, Gase either for that matter

Quite a bit of irony in this post.

Pagano missed weeks 5-16 in 2012 (coached the first 4 weeks and returned for postseason, so "all year" is quite a misstep by you)

Colts record in 2013 under Pagano: 11-4
Colts record in 2014 under Pagano: 11-4

Sometimes it helps to read a little more than whatever the hell it is you read that gave you the idea that Arians led the Colts to their best year under Pagano.

Right he coached 4 games that year they made the playoffs and you said he lead them to 3 playoff appearances. You don't make the playoffs in 4 games. You were wrong bro, its okay to be wrong

You're clinging to straws here but I get it, you have to. I mean that's what I'd do if I said Pagano "ran the Colts into the ground" only to find out he led them to two straight 11-4 seasons, a division title and a conference championship appearance.

They play 16 games in a season if you didn't know. So he actually finished 11-5 those years, not 11-4. Maybe he's a great coach and I would sincerely apologize to you but Andrew Luck and the worst division in football at the time, I think Adam Gase could've squeezed out 11 wins. Rex Ryan, Herm Edwards, etc. as well

Typo obviously, I've typed "5-11" enough as a Jets fan to know there are 16 games.

I'm not gonna play the hypothetical game... all I know is Pagano had a lot of success with the Colts until the widely-regarded awful GM started to slowly dismantle the team. He'd be a fantastic DC and I'd love if he eventually took over.

Yeah, let's hire the head coach that got Andrew Luck beaten down and broken. Keep those fresh ideas coming. Colts D was trash also.

There's absolutely no way anyone who pays attention to football is going to blame Chuck Pagano for the Colts offensive line issues. I can only assume this means you don't pay attention.
