I don't wonder why at all, I actully like that we have a bit of an unsavory reputation. Better than than the wine and cheese reputation that certain fanbases have achieved.
Yeah I do think that hate motivates this team and it's always nice when you can rub it in people's faces. It's when people look at the Jets and discredit their achievements because of the way the team is. (i.e. Deion Branch's stupid "that was their Super Bowl" interview)
Let's see - Fireman Ed is a douche, the cheerleaders are ugly, the new stadium sucks, any Jet fan over 30 is a dick, and any time the team has an event or rally it blows. Maybe we should just go back to the Leon Hess days of being a faceless non-descript franchise.
As stated, once he did the West Side commercial and that Soprano's video, I boo him and curse him at the game. I do the chant when I feel like it, not when he tells me. I am not sure what the deal with this guy is. Ira to me is what a real jet fan is and I will be happy for him if we win.
