The best defense against any taunt sent your way is a nod and a smile. Makes them feel as stupid as they look when grown men launch verbal threats at someone wearing a jersey they dont like ( even if its their own home teams jersey).

Buffalo & Pitt a few comments walking by, but all in fun, they weren't assholes about it.

Indy the people were very nice, almost in a coma.

Miami, too many Jet fans to fuck with us.

The dude in Cleveland wanted to fight, he was shitfaced.

I here you on Indianapolis. I was there for the '09 AFCCG and people are shaking my hand welcoming me at the bar before the game and while we walked inside the stadium. I almost fainted.

Cleveland I had a "woman" come up to me and attempt to pour her beer on me, I slapped it out of her hand, which led to her boyfriend, husband, whatever, to come up and start mouthing off. The cops (who ride horses in the parking lots oddly enough) came up and saw the whole thing and escorted me and my pals to the stadium. Good dude.

Cleveland fans are nearly Philly level....Buffalo fans are also wretched but never seem to get called out on it.

Oddly enough for all of the Lions misery and the entire city's collapse...their fans are remarkably nice. But Browns fans are more bitter and nastier than we are

Perhaps because you can still get into the parking lot in some places there at 6, 7am. That extra hour of tailgating will kill you, right Woody!?

I went to the Steelers/Eagles game this year out in Pittsburgh. I wore my college hoodie to stay neutral since I don't care for either team. Jesus Christ was I harassed. My school's colors are purple and gold. Sweatshirt was purple with gold letters. When I wasn't walking around with my sister, I got a lot of verbal abuse. Steelers fans were really rude to the Eagles fans too. I noticed a lot of Steelers fans cutting Eagles fans in lines and starting fights with the Eagles fans.

Giants fans are pricks too. I went to a Jets/Giants pre-season game when I was a little kid. Full grown adult men yelled and cursed at me despite me obviously being a kid.

I wouldn't put it passed people to harass Fireman Ed. He's a symbol of our organization and people are mad at our organization so they take it out on him.

The guy was a Dolphins fan as a kid. He has spent all of his money as an adult on the Jets..enough said about where his heart is.

 at people dissing Ed because he doesn't want to be a mascot anymore. The dude did it for like 30 years. Give him a break, he's getting old and sick of all the piss poor attitudes that Jets fans have. He'll still be at the games, it's not like he's quitting on the team. I've worn my Sanchez jersey to games. Any Jet fan that harasses you over supporting your starting QB isn't a fan.

I feel bad that he was mistreated but I never supported this whole ex- Dolphin fan as our un official mascot.

If you a Dolphin Fan as a Kid, you are always one, no mater how sad and disgusting it sounds.

I can't believe people are actually discussing this man like hes some saint or god. What exactly does he do for the team? Oh he waves his fire helmet in a circle. So what if he spent money going to the games, so did many other people. He wants attention, he makes appearances that he gets paid for. If he was really that upset, he would have just walked out silently.

He retires? Good - its not going to stop anyone from going to games or stop me from wearing my green jersey. Come on man!

The last time I saw him the guy in the Klecko Jersey with the whistle looked like he was going through chemo. I don't recall seeing him at all the last year in the old stadium.

There was an older guy that wore Klecko in upper deck that blew a whistle, I think section 325 or 324. I remember him missing a bunch of games then coming back looking like he went through chemo. When he did start coming back fireman Ed came up to see him. I thought that was very nice of him. While he was out a fat guy in tight tight sweats and a hardhat that took over for him. Pretty ridiculous outfit but it was nice to see someone take on the whistle to start the chant.

Pittsburgh has a zero tolerance policy. It works.. it should be mandatory in all stadiums.
