Joe asked him during the interview. He said he paid for his PSL and tickets to the new stadium, nothing was free.
i too, went down this path. i was raised a giants fan, but always followed the jets as well since they really dont have anything to do with each others success for the most part. then when i was 16 (9 years ago) my father came home and said "we got jets season tickets" and i was baffled by this, since we were giants fans. my uncle was the one who pushed it since they are business partners and hes a big jets fan and my father agreed to it so we ended up going to the games. every year for the first 3 or for years i started loving the jets more and more until i started to eat sleep and breathe jet football. everyone who knows me thinks its crazy to have abandoned the "winning new york team" for the "crazy miserable new york team" but i dont regret it one bit, because when that glorious day comes when the jets, and not the giants are on top of the football world, i, as well as you guys, will be able to enjoy it that much more. plus the excitement around the jets, win or lose, good or bad, absolutely blows away the stuffy giants white collar ways.:jets:
im def takin it to the tomb i can tell you that much. this friggin team takes over your soul once you let it. i just hope the dark days stay away from now on as its been a great start so far to the new era.
I yelled at my dad after last year's Super Bowl for making me a Jet fan like him. I could've been a Yankee-Giant-Ranger fan and seen a bunch of championships in my lifetime. Oh well.
my 1st JETS game was Nov '84.......... watched them lose to the COLTS 9-6 in pouring "cold november rain" about as shitty of a game as you could ask for, but I was as stoked as a 10 year old kid could be. I will confess, for a very brief period at a very young age (3rd grade?) I also liked the Steelers (watching a team win 4 SuperBowls with exciting players can be very impressionable to a youngster) I have confessed my sins to Revis Christ, now all is forgiven. :jets:
I just don't understand why the don't just find more die hard fans in the stands and split the spotlight. It's not a bad idea to diversify. And I don't mean picking a person who landed at game and doesn't even know how to spell j e t s like in years past.
