Yeah, it was bizarre..almost wonder if it wasn't staged. Neither seemed to even want to push the other much less throw a punch..they just sort of cozyied by each other and then he disappeared. The people around them did nothing at all. Not the Jets fans I know..course with PSLs it may make pussies out of everybody.
I heard on WFAN this morning that the dickhead GINA fan DID get kicked out of the game last night and it was NOT the choice of security but by a call from the Jets Management...
what i dont get is why doesnt he do it on 3rd down when the other team is at the line tryin to go through their pre-snap reads? on a kickoff, the chant seems pretty worthless to me
kickoff is the best time roaring crowd like an army about to charge. then the calm before the storm, the stadium goes silent. the army charges the ball is kicked off and the crowd chants J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS
Next time, throw the Giants douchebag down onto the field wearing his #10 jersey and let Calvin Pace think he's Eli Manning.
Yeah he was removed from the game. It did take some time though, which I thought was odd. He was going to get trounced when I saw it live it looked like people were being held back.
I don't get why some on this board hate on Ed. The guy organizes 80k Jets faithful every game into doing the best chant in all of football. Personally, I feel fortunate to have him.
I believe he was eventually, if not for that for something else. I know he got escorted out soon after.
Sorry to anyone here this may offend, but FANTASTIC POST (sorry guys,I always think of the PSL owners as corporate eggheads who know shit about football)
If they can revoke the PSL seats I wouldn't get into fights either. It isn't like I can go out and buy more tickets anonymously for good seats.
If you noticed, Ed was motioning to someone on the field, appeared to be a guy with a suit. Ed motioned to the guy twice as if to say, "call security and get this jackass out of my face." I took a while for security to find the guy who walked back to his seat unabashed by the Jets fans. I was upstairs watching it unfold and surely thought someone would have had Ed's back. I guess the PSL owners are LESS rowdy than us upperdeck fans.
Like Ed or not he is a Jet through and through, even if he's gimmick he's one of us. That Gfag Douche should have had the ever loving shit beat out of him. I understand why Ed didn't really do anything as he had to know the camera was on him but once the chant was over that clown should have been shoved down flights of stairs.
I sit in section 117 in the new stadium 12 rows up. I was pleasantly suprised to see that fireman ed is stationed 2 sections away from me. I was even more pleasantly suprised when fireman ed stiffarmed that pussy ass giants fan. Obv the guy was drunk but by going up on the railing he endangered fireman ed. Do you guys think they will make him go back to sitting on his brothers shoulders because of the safety risk? I can only imagine what a real rival fan with a few drinks in him might do. BTW Fireman Ed would have knocked this guy out it was awesome to see his true NY colors. no talking just straight put that guy in his place!!
They have more to lose if their PSL's get revoked due to violence in the stands. I can only imagine Ed's frame of mind when asshat GFan shows up. Ed can't get into a fight on national TV guys. For all intent and purposes, he's an psuedo employee of the NYJets and isn't he still with the FDNY? I would say though that Gfan would have been murdered in Philly TV or not.
That giant fan really came off looking like a foolish drunken moron. between the cost of the psls and the beers is not surprising the idiot didn't get stomped.
