Let me put my best foot forward, you can't just stick your toe in the water, he's got great feet, players need to step up, they're good little foot soldiers. aah the good old days!!
I will step up and defend Bowles. Our buy week is next week. I understand the fustration and why you would want to fire Bowles but keeping him is the right move. The season is finished. Playoffs are out of reach. Teams tend to play well for intrim HC s. At this point we're in the running for the first pick in the draft or a very high pick at least. That would be very valuable to the next staff. Trade back and accumulate picks for this year and next. There's nothing else to gain this season.
I also think there's more to the Sam "injury" than what's been told. I was of the opinion that Bowles was the steadying hand that was needed after the Rex maelstrom. Not the best choice, but a coach that could learn his craft and improve while we acquired some talented players. Well it's been 4 years of sub-standard football and look at where we sit. A group of players that mailed it in...when their coach, supposedly respected by these same players, desperately needed a win to save his job. They forfeited the game for all intent and purpose, and basically fired Todd Bowles themselves. Fuck the lot of 'em.
I will say part of me thinks the players and the coaching staff kind of deserve each other Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
Are these tweets real?????? I am reading he has been shitcannhed trying to confirm I just saw a tweet from Cascadden
What hurt Tanney was trading up for bad players, wasting the picks traded away and wasting the picks he acquired moving up in the draft, Shonn Greene etc. giving away high picks for washed up players (i.e. trading a 1st round pick for Doug f'king Jolley) and in the same year taking a kicker with their 2nd round pick. I can go on and on and on. Tanney was a waste product. Mangini saved his ass picking Mangold and D'Brick among others. They haven't picked a talented OL since. I'd trust Mangini over anyone on the coaching staff or front office to make the right calls this off-season.
What about the other games when the team was unprepared? Or the games when Bowles made no in game adjustments? That is all on him. He hired these guys not the GM. This is his system they are trying ti implement. He needs to go.
No way Jets get #1 pick at this point. I wouldn't be surprised to see them win one more and plus they have a few teams below them that look just as pathetic. Top 5 pick is certainly possible though.
Except for a dumb ass owners who will probably keep our gm and force a coach upon him Sent from my VS987 using Tapatalk
The assbeating is what they deserve. They faked an injury to protect the soft feelings of their QB. Gutless team. I’m glad Buffalo beat the shit outta them
Honestly think we finish with 3 wins at this point. Raiders are pretty much guaranteed the first pick, may win week 17 with KC resting everyone but that's it. Giants could get a couple of wins still. Starting with the 49s . 2nd or third pick is very possible . Would still be valuable to a team looking for a QB.
