I'm not going to spend more time arguing with you over this. He's had the same complaints about him since 2006. He's had four different starters over the course of that time. Not once has he learned to properly adjust. If you don't get that, then you're lost.
It's because most of the voters who voted to fire schotty, want a scapegoat. This has been the SOJ mentality for years. It's nothing new. We were a top 4 team this year. Unless Sanchez doesn't want Schotty as a coach, I don't see any reason in firing him.
Favre and Clemens and Pennington all have showed similar traits in the same offensive schemes and plays that Sanchez has though.....and all of them are veterans.
It's not about being a top 4, It's about being #1 If anyone has the real SOJ it's u. Content with a good season? Fuk that, I wanna SB!
I say fire schotty, re-hire him, then fire him again. Absolutely awful time management down the stretch. Even if one or two events in each game don't warrant a release, the fact we have been discussing the issue all season should be enough to show he is consistently inconsistent.
My favourite was our fake end around run play we keep doing to get about a 1 yard gain each time, to eventually set up a six yard loss end around when we actually handed to the receiver. There was a lot of effort put into this for something that clearly wasn't working and didn't look like working.
You just answered your own question there. 4 different starting QB's = inconsistency in the offense. It takes years for an offense to gell and become elite. A different QB every year kills any chance of creating an elite offense. Our offense improved from last year. Our QB improved a lot from last year. Unless the QB is unhappy with the OC, there is no reason to fire the OC after there is significant improvement. If you don't get that, then you're lost.
That's funny considering we scored the same amount of points as the CHIEFS & LIONS and were outscore by the RAIDERS THE FUKIN RAIDERS!!!! & ftr, we are tied for 13th in ppg and 28th in the NFL in av yd per pass with 6.5 hmy:
LOL no. SOJ fans want a SB every year, and if they don't get it, they want to fire someone. They stay negative about everything when there are signs of improvement on the team. SOJ fans ignore the fact that all the teams that have won the Superbowl over the last decade have kept their team together and created a consistent culture within their organization. SOJ fans are unhappy with a team that has reached the AFC championship in back-to-back years; a team that will contend for a Superbowl every year in the near future. That's SOJ fans.
Reaching the AFCC 2 years in a row and not getting in is kind of considered a failure dude. (But it isn't something the SOJ would do)
Good catch with the ppg. We're 28th in av yd per play because we run the ball the 2nd most in the league. Pass/attempt gets more yards than rush/attempt, that's why I've been advocating a pass first offense for a while now. Who cares which teams outscored us? The offense clearly improved this year.
they should hire donald trump to fire him he cost us the game with his stupid run plays and poor clock management
Would you rather have back to back AFC CHampionship games, and contend for the SUperbowl over the next 5 years? Or would you rather go 6-10 every other year and be a first round exit for the years in between?
How do you know that? Didn't Marino think he'd be in more than 1 Super Bowl? You just don't know. Injuries/free agency and intangibles make it impossible to predict. How do you know?
No, that 28th is Avg Yd PerPass !! We are 19th in avg Yd Per play @ 5.2 How the hell do we avg. 6.5 yards per pass w/Holmes, Edwards, Cotch and Keller in the Middle?? Easy, Shotty's System is a fukin JOKE!
Yeah, definitely cut back and scaled down the Offense by calling a roll-out pass followed by another unsuccessful pass on 2nd & 3rd Down inside the 3-yard-line (in which, on both plays, their D completely smothered our routes) when the Run-game drove us there in the first place. Schotty fucked-up one of the most important sequences in this team's history and you're gonna talk about overall Scoring rank and the Offense's improvement throughout the year? Really?
We haven't won in 43 years. We have back to back AFC Championship games with no titles to show for it. How do you know we will contend at all in the next five years? Because you assume we will? Doesn't work that way.
