i don’t know enough about the niners offense to make an informed post, but it’s the Internet so when has that ever stopped anyone? Mike Shanahan was one of the most overrated coaches I’ve ever seen. The dude never won anything without Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Elway and Terrell Davis running his offense. So maybe the offense junior runs and we stole just sucks. It’s not like Kyle has had any sustained success there outside of a weird possibly fluky super bowl season.

Too late to add Ulbrich and his constant vanilla zones on 3rd and long and DBs playing off much inferior receivers all game?

Nope he sucks too. Saleh needs to take more control over both sides.

Bump. LaFleur needs to go. This is the most predictable playcalling I've ever seen.

Seriously, how does he call the same thing every time, watches it fail every time, and still fails to learn??

I can't believe that on Mike White's first pass attempt of his career, he rolls the right handed quarterback out to his fucking left. It worked out and all but that was mind blowing.

We might need to do what San Francisco did with Tomsula and cut our losses and start fresh next year again.

Saleh seems like a good guy and all but this team looks like they're coached worse than what Gase was putting out there. And that's very hard to do.

If Jets do anything, it will be changing out Lafleur for another preferably veteran OC.

I don’t see the whole staff being let go. It’s not a matter of if but when, Saleh is loyal but his priority is to the team no the CS, Lafleur will be fired before season ends!

LaFleur needs to go ASAP. It won’t happen any time this season but there’s been a constant regression and now we are at rock bottom. He’s not even running the offense he claimed he was going to run. No semblance of what makes a wide zone scheme a wide zone scheme. Uninspired playcalling, bad execution. There’s no excuse for this from anyone even if it’s their first year.

Jeezus this is bad. This guy is as thick skilled as Gase was with his "it's not the scheme, it's the execution" BS.
    It's the goddam SCHEME!

So we know Lafleur isn't getting fired, guys. We know this. This is just "adversity" to Bob Saleh.

But at the urging of Woody, who reads and heeds comments from random people claiming to be Jets fans on Twitter, I have a pretty strong feeling that the Jets will be...

Hahahahaha two point conversion run up the middle. This guy might legitimately be worse than Gase as a playcaller.

I'm not sure who's worse but I am sure the situation with LaFleur leading the current offense is worse than with Gase leading it and here's why...With the Gase situation, it was CJ making this call and we all know that the Johnson's, although they try, are in capable of running a football team and nor are they capable of making good football decisions...so expecting Gase to be a good hire would have been a mistake. However, and I'm a JD supporter, bringing in JD to lead the coaching search and hire Saleh knowing the CS he was going to bring in puts "the LaFleur issue" squarely at the feet of both Saleh and somewhat indirectly at JD...JD's stance is right, GM hires the coach and doesn't tell the HC who to hire for his staff BUT signing off on something that doesn't work falls at the feet of the two people above LaFleur in the food chain...So the reason this is worse is because JD was leading this whole process which left us with LaFleur, and while we knew we can't rely on the Johnson's to make good football decisions we're supposed to be able to rely on JD for this kind of thing....

LaFleur should be asked to book his own flight back to Jersey.

Just when you think things couldn't get any worse than they were with Gase....
