his failure to draft more o-line and d-line are flaws. but, the AR debacle wasn't his idea. that has woody's fingerprints all over it. both Salah and JD had to do it, with woody calling the shots. notice , in comparasion, how much better and quicker that the Mets got after uncle steve cohen bought the team. best thing i can hope for now is for Trump to be #47, and woody gets shipped overseas.
There's a better than 50-50 chance that Woody gives him a new contract. Woody doesn't want to sit alone at that press conference at the end of the season and field questions about why he allowed the contract of the guy who he said built one of the best rosters in Jets' history to expire. If it were solely based on his actual performance, he would be out of a job now. There is absolutely no justification for him still being the GM of this team. He's poor in Free Agency, he's a terrible drafter, and he holds on to players far too long in order to try to save face for terrible decisions. I'd honestly rather have Idzik or Maccagnan. At least the two of them were able to identify a QB in the draft that has somewhat panned out. Douglas has Zach Wilson and the Morgan kid he drafted early on on his resume.
