I believe that every team in the NFL would be treated the same way in this regard. Throwing games is not something the NFL can publicly abide. That would lead to all types of conspiracy theories about favoritism within the customer base.
I'm sure there would be some interesting talk radio, but the NFL is somehow insulated from bad press. There has been a crisis of officiating since the moment the league got invested in sports betting and I don't know if I've read a single article from a mainstream outlet that has mentioned it.
Good point. The only person I’ve ever seen discuss replay assist is Matt Ryan when he said they should expand it. The NFL hides it’s flaws well with the Snoop Dogg intro distractions and what not.
I would offer that some have seen that crisis of officiating for far longer than the league has been in bed with corporate gambling institutions.
Joe Douglas just cant put it all together at once. Good OL in 2024, bad OL in 2023.....Good DL in 2023, bad DL in 20024. Ultimately, missing on Becton, Zac, and now Aaron will do him in. Props to him for bringing in some talent but with a GM record of 30-60, you will be drafting some top tier players anyways.
Idk how to share it cause Twitter is a mess these days but Gary Myers had an interesting proposal that the Jets should hire Curtis Martin as Team President I like that idea Martin would give some credibility to the GM / HC search. Myers said he remains close with Parcells so that guidance would be there
Don't forget all the dumb picks he wasted on Denzel Mims, Elijah moore, letting Jfm and huff go for nothing which debacled our defense only to replace him with Kinlaw and Hassan 0.5 sack Redick ruined this team
