He should be fired based on the draft alone. Fucking disaster.

Dude calm down. People and fans can have opinions. This guy did something about it for once instead of sitting there complaining about it like you are.

All he did was make the fanbase and team look dumber than they already did. It wasn't productive in the slightest.

I have to say that I'm shocked by the 80-20 against Idzik. But not surprised by the cluelessness of Jets fans.

Not I. I think it was and still is a very bad move. We needed a WR then, and we still need one now.

For one I am not complaining -- I don't think the Jets should fire Idzik.

It is not about his opinion, it is about having a totally warped perspective and idea of self worth to think that a fucking billboard and plane actually had any impact.
All he did was bilk people out of their hard earned money and probably swindled some poor slobs who couldn't afford it because most who could afford it have half a brain and wouldn't fall fro such nonsense.
Idzik was long gone before billboard boy it was over when Rex turned on him and started leaking his shit to the media.

Poverty will never end. The haves and the have nots have existed since dawn of civilization. Idzik AND Rex are the problem and it is reflected in their personnel decisions and game results. Anyone who wants to keep this "dynamic"duo needs to present a more sound argument than any supporters have presented thus far. Reminds me of the keep Sanchez crowd. Wow just wow.

I agree, a random PSL owner should be allowed to announce the firing at a press conference. The lucky fan would also get his tickets for free the following year.

Poverty can and will end some day. I wasn't for getting rid of Mark until he had an adequate chance to prove his incompetency. I don't think Idzik has. Rex had six seasons and should be fired.

If Idzik is fired. The assumption is he'll end up back with Seattle. And there's a good chance of that happening. But he has a lot of ties in the NFL. And some orgs might actually think he's done a good job and want him on board. One team if they have an opening : the Patriots. Sheer speculation on my part but his team building philosophy seems to be on the same page as Belichick. Being conservative and not overpaying for free agents. Plus another way BB can stick it to us.

Well, clearly I am in the minority but I think Rex should be gone and Idzik should stay. I know it looks like he wiffed this years draft so far but when you sign a gm you commit to them you will give him a few years and at least a head coach. This constant fire everyone every few years is pointless. Fire Rex, bring in an offensive guy and if that doesn't work out after 2 more years you fire Idzik.

These things take time. Don't be so fooled by the 3 win season when 3-4 of the games we lost by <5 points. See last year. We have some pieces, some cash, just need the QB,

Idzik is basically all but fired. Whomever they hire to replace him is probably someone like him whose competent. I don't see him going to the Patriots because they just gave Caserio an extension. But if the new GM and coach can't win by year 2 what go you do then.

The same people who cry to fire Idzik are also some of the same people who want to build through the draft. Yet wanted Idzik to spend money to stay competetive. You cannot have it both ways, either you rebuild or be competetive. Idzik was trying to be conservative and not overpay for talent and build through the draft and he got bashed for it, and perhaps fired.
I don't take the fire Idzik and build through the draft crowd seriously. I question their willingness and tolerance to sit through an actual rebuild with a couple of losing seasons while developing our draft. From the looks of some of the opinions on Idzik, I'm pretty sure the answer is no. So I guess when this new gm and coach have a losing season in 2 yrs, these same fans will call for their firing?
Hell, I wish they would make it easier on themselves, they should call for the firing of the new gm and coach after the 2015 draft.

So why should we get rid of Rex if we shouldn't be fooled by 3 wins? We lost a bunch of games by less than 5 points. Doesn't that mean Rex did a decent job with a subpar roster this year?

Im split. One part of me says he was set up to fail and he made some good personal moves (Ivory, Richardson, Harvin, Decker), and part of me says get rid of him for butchering rounds 3 and on of the 2014 draft.
