According to French, Italian and Spanish Newspapers, Blatter's resignation is due to pressure from FBI. Like I said before, you mess with USA and award World Cups to countries ruled by Dictators, USA will take care of you one way or another.

I hope one way or another, IOC is getting the message.

This was a calculated move by Blatter, I read they will now not vote on a new leader until December at the earliest. That gives time for the person he wants to lead FIFA to get his act together. Had he resigned a week ago the Prince Ali guy would have won the vote and maybe the process for stripping Qatar already would have been in motion. As it is now it allows Blatter's guy to make promises to all these poor African/ CONCACAF and Oceania countries to bribe them some more.

Could be Barry. But I don't think he wanted to leave the post. He was forced and had no choice. Didn't want to be cuffed and die in a prison cell alone. But we shall see. You might be right.

Soccer belongs to people. It can't be gifted to dictators like Putin or that fuckin Qatar King who treats people like shit.

Some guy at the bar was saying that he heard it's going to come out that FIFA paid off Ireland to not fight the Thierry Henry handball that cost the Irish a spot in South Africa, I haven't seen anything confirmed yet but how awful would that be if true.

Is there any particular reason why? Was it that they thought France would bring in more viewers because they had just made the finals in 06 and had more name players?

The article I saw doesnt really mention why. I think it was probably more to stop any precedent and uncertainty over the exact make-up of the finals that there would have over the whole thing if the legal system had been involved.

They probably didn't want any controversy. Barry buddy you are not listening to me are you?

I am telling you. Fenerbahce caught match fixing and Turkish judiciary system prisoned their President and the GM's and multiple players and UEFA and FIFA didn't do anything since Turkish president paid off UEFA and FIFA. This is how soccer is. You guys are cursing to Goodell and NFL but believe me NFL is still way ahead of UEFA and FIFA.

Cool news. So what do we know? The 2006 and 2010 Cups were bribed. The German bid is a bit surprising. They're digging, but so far in the wrong direction. If 2006 and 2010 were bribed, the Russians surely bribed the maFIFA, we just don't have any concrete evidence of it yet. Can't wait to see Blatter and his buddies in handcuffs, on a plane to the USA.

Well apparently someone in South Africa has an email that shows a direct bribe of Blatter with a 1o million dollar payment. Shit is about to hit the fan. That is smoking gun they were looking for and he must have known it.
