This was a calculated move by Blatter, I read they will now not vote on a new leader until December at the earliest. That gives time for the person he wants to lead FIFA to get his act together. Had he resigned a week ago the Prince Ali guy would have won the vote and maybe the process for stripping Qatar already would have been in motion. As it is now it allows Blatter's guy to make promises to all these poor African/ CONCACAF and Oceania countries to bribe them some more.

Cool news. So what do we know? The 2006 and 2010 Cups were bribed. The German bid is a bit surprising. They're digging, but so far in the wrong direction.
