He had no intention of resigning. It just was made clear to him this week that he wasn't going to skate and he was going to be removed one way or the other. Resigning lets him save face and pretend he made the choice.
also, he probably thinks resigning is an expression of goodwill or something and is hoping they'll go easier on him
Down goes Blatter. I knew this would happen. You fuck with USA multiple times, you will go down. Russia and Qatar? Really? Two countries that are ruled by dictators. What pisses me off is why didn't rest of the world didn't do anything until USA became involved?
Because they needed a scapegoat Brook. If this investigation had blown up, USA gets the blame and no harm done since most countries hate us on the down low anyway. If all goes well, everyone can take credit. Just remember: Success has many fathers. Failure is an orphan.
Waiting for nba final ,long wait ,happy for either team to win but bogut is 30 and not injured ,while delley is 23 . This fifa blow up is not surprising , fifa been corrupt for years
You never know, 2022 might end up in Oz if they do the right thing and strip Qatar. I thought they were in the running the 1st time around.
Can hope ,would be awesome , only need to build 4 or 5 staduims , good reason to improve roads like they did for Sydney olympics
I'm just trying to figure out what cities they would play it in? Opening Game - Melbourne Championship - Sydney Semi's Perth/Brisbane They obviously wouldn't go completely overboard like they did in Brazil but you would probably need about 8-10 stadiums I would think. I'm thinking host cities would be Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Canberra, Adelaide, Cairns and have a few games in Hobart.
They would probably Co host with nz like the cricket. We're currently hosting the fifa u20s world cup
http://www.fifa.com/mm/document/tournament/competition/01/33/74/50/b3ause.pdf 4.6 stadiums Last night 83000 at sydney for chelsea match Last year 95000 at mcg melbourne for liverpool match
I have no doubts it would be one of the most successful WC's ever, imagine all the fans that would want to visit Australia and have been putting it off? They have infrastructure, good cities, people want to go there, and it would be a new adventure for FIFA. I wouldn't have minded losing to Australia for 2022 as it made sense but Qatar was just a fucking disgrace.
Well they did, sort of. Numerous officials have been cited for fraud and corruption before. Blatter's always managed to wriggle away though. There has to be a smoking gun involved this time. Aus and NZ would be a fantastic place to host the World Cup.
