The only reason the Hype with Lawrence has died down is because there isn't anything to discuss or debate and we've heard it all for the last 3 years. He is going #1 and all the media pundits can't get click and eyeballs talking about it. Above all else, these guys need to be interesting to get traffic. People are bored with the "Lawrence is the best prospect in years" take. Reading between the lines it sounds like you are saying that NFL execs are pushing for the Jets to take Wilson, but to what end? What would be the reason behind it?
Wilson being better than Lawrence isn't just a Chris Simms phenomenon. Although I am glad he did it because less people calling me crazy than when I was saying this months ago.

Zach Wilson had a very down year in his second year and that actually is quite impressive on Zach behalf to improve as much as he did last off season.
