You have a fair point. Not everybody is going to agree. I have just spent to much of my life(since I was nine) ruining my Sunday, Monday or what ever day the Jets playing being pissed off at a football game when they don't win. So I choose to stay positive and not get all bent out of shape (not saying that you do at all) because it is better for me as an individual. I certainly hope I did not come off as high and mighty, I am better than you are because you negative and i am not or I am on my high horse or anything like that because it was not my intention. Nobody is any better than anybody else.
i agree with this guy as well. we have problems, and anyone thats happy about backing in today after that shitshow on defense should be ashamed
In the end so do i. But i have no issue voicing my disappointment when they forget to show up (Pats game), or their obvious disgusting season killing issue (no pass rush) when ever i want. Or when its needed. Like today.
Yes I'm upset and sick over this loss, like I get when ever we lose, but here is a cold hard fact : For just the 5th time in the history of our team, back to back playoffs. And it's Rex & Sanchez 2nd season together. For what it's worth we all know when playoffs start, every team has a chance. I'm a JET fan my whole life, never have we had so much coverage, (granted not all positive) and how many other teams can say 2nd year coach, 2nd year QB, and 2nd playoff appearance? Future is bright!!!
Winning more games than 10 other teams is not backing in. The Jets earned the playoffs I just wish we could be happy with that. If the Jets lost five straight to start the season then peeled off 10 in a row not one single person would say "They sure backed their way in". Why should we as fans be bitter that the Jets made the playoffs? You make the playoffs by winning more games than others. That is earned no matter how you win more games than others(it is not about style points). That is something we should all as fans be glad about. It does not matter what we as fans think this team can or cannot do. The sky is the limit. There is not many of us who thought the Jets would go as far as they did last year let alone make the playoffs but we sure as hell enjoyed the ride. Lets wait to see what that journey will be like this year. Lets enjoy the ride.
99% of internet forums are filled with negative nancy douche buckets. It's just the nature of the beast.
I 100 percent agree... What I don't understand are the personal attacks. I'm cool with someone disagreeing with me because they are times when I'm wrong. But the name-calling is just so juvenile. Hit me with facts..not with cuss words.
Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards, Ladanian Tomilinson, Schonn Greene. I think they're all pro-bowl caliber players. The problem is we lack depth in the OL, DL, LB, our horrible safeties.
We're 10 -5 and don't have to bust a gut against the Bills, wow!! The Jets 'coast' into the POs, NOW THATS COOL BEANS!! Yes there have been some really horrible decisions throughout the season, were we the only ones to make mistakes, of course not. Yes we did scrape by some horrible teams, but we still got the W, when in many seasons past we would have crumbled and walked away bitching. The team over the course of the season has shown great resilience to make great late exciting comebacks, how in the world anyone can complain about this is beyond me. Thats entertainment. Our D is what it is, banged up but still performing well enough. My biggest worry is the Offense, but after watching the Bears game, I have to say I think we've figured it out just in time, so I'm reasonably optimistic that whoever we play, we put up a good show which is all we can ask for as fans. All the teams that made the POs are now all at : 0 - 0, how they got there is now irrelevant, being there is all that matters now.
I guess it's all in what you think is top-tier. I think Holmes and Edwards are good players, but I wouldn't put\ them in the same class as a Reggie Wayne or Andre Johnson. I definitely agree with your assessment about the lack of depth. I think Tannenbaum has done a good job at bringing in impact players like the aforemetioned Edwards and Holmes or Antonio Cromartie. I think he's failed to get a dependable backup who could emerge down the line.
