offsides or not...that pass was horrific...i saw it floating and before the cardinal guy caught it i was yelling fuck!!!...it was 0-0 at that point...could have been a game changer for sure....i guess heart attacks r common in the life of a jet fan...add favre to the mix ima start watching the games from a hospital bed
You do understand that when the D jumps offsides it's a "free play", right? If Favre thought that's what happened he should have had no worries at all as to where he was throwing it and should have tried to make the biggest play happen possible. Why that play was across the field to a receiver in the flats I don't know, but maybe he thought he saw something.
This is a discussion about small change, but at the time, I thought TJ could have done more to get in the way of the guy. Who was it that caught the bastard from behind? Props to him!! He saved us 7! Edit: Abzy says it was the FB so I'm wrong about TJ getting in the way.
It wasn't even to a receiver, he was throwing it to Tony Richardson. That play was inexcusable even with the offsides non-call. He redeemed himself but I can't say I wasn't spewing vitriol at the TV when it happened.
Luckily I was still at our flag football game when that happened and missed it. I can't really comment too much because I didn't see the play yet. Anyone at the game have any insight as to why he may have decided to throw it to the FB there?
