Following NFL for only 9 years. Didn't watch many of yhe mentioned greats but can someone explain me how in hell D.Sanders hit a home run in World Series and scored a TD in a superbowl? How the hell he played in 2 leagues?
Jim Brown was the greatest RB of all time and if he hadn't walked away he would have records that would never be touched.
Gotta agree with Royal Tree. This is why I want Rex to keep drafting defensive players...some day. Some day.
Ray Lewis for me. Guy played with so much emotion. His technique was great. He was super powerful. He's the kind of LB I want my cousin to be like. Brett Favre would have been my other option, but he played for us for just one year.
Barry Sanders. I was a big fan of Ronnie Lott and Tomlinson... and was happy to see them in green and white, even though they weren't what they used to be.
He's one of the two or three best athletes in the world (any sport) over the last 30 years. Bo Jackson, Deion Sanders ... the conversation just ended. Sanders led baseball in triples one season playing half the year. If he dedicated his life to baseball, he would have had a better career than Vince Coleman or Kenny Lofton.
Another vote for Sweetness, first one that popped into my mind from the thread title, before even opening it. Was also a big fan of Jack Lambert.
I'm going to go a bit more recent: Ed Reed- So much fun to see how he plays and was always around the ball. Also tried to score no matter what once he got the ball Devin Hester- Great returner Dante Hall- aka the Human Joystick, see above Larry Fitzgerald- Stuck in a tough spot with having Warner for only one year, never gives up on a play, always fights for the ball, believes in team over himself
I just have to say. I miss screaming at Matt mulligan,s potato head every game! I always blamed him for everything But we would be unstoppable with a Marshall Faulk
