Oh, one more thing I forgot, but I would also disagree with them saying that Travis Henry is a better back than Jones...
With #25, #59 and #63, we can get as high as #10 according to the chart. We could deal for #14 using #25, #59 and #90 (I think this is our 3rd rounder, but if it's not, it's close) for #14 and a mid 4th rounder.
Since Fatso and Fruitloops had no idea what pick the Jets had in the first round, I decided to go the the WFAN website and complain via their fan instant feeback and also did their questionnaire from Management. I doubt it will effect anything, but here is the link... http://wfan.com/pages/270351.php
About how fatman loved the welker trade I really do not like it from the Patriots side giving up a second rd pick for an avg 3rd wr at best when they are usually good during the draft. They were also down playing Thomas Jones stats in the post season saying that both his 100 yard games were tainted in the post season because of one long run. As i was watching it at my lunch break it also was annoying me when they thought the Jets had gotten the 65th pick from the Bears in that deal, which is not in the second round and they kept repeating that for a good 15-20 minutes. Although it is off topic later that day at around 6ish someone called up and told off the two that how can they say they know alot about college bball especially when they are talking with seeds and the tourney, because they dont watch college bball until this week.
I'm assuming, and it could be a mistaken assumption but I doubt it, that Tannenbaum and Mangini are fundamentally uninterested in making deals in which the Jets give up any depth unless the perfect player is sitting there for them on the pick they make. I see a first and a second to move up for another first as a longshot but a possibility. I think 3 for 1's of the type that Terry Bradway was notorious for (Santana Moss and D-Rob trade-ups) are probably not in the mix here, although I could be wrong on that. We'll have to wait and see.
I'd agree with your train of thought and observation of the new way things go down. I was just laying out what it would take.
65th or 63rd.. does it really matter? Sure, but not in the argument they were presenting. It's simple guys... If they annoy you so much, don't listen/watch.
I think you're right about it being a great move. But we wont know for sure until next season or the season after. I, for one, am excited about Jones. I think he's gonna' go way above and beyond the naysayers expectations.
Fatscessa is still waiting for the Raiders to 'wear down' the Buccaneers defensive line and win that Super Bowl, just like he told us all would happen.
If you notice, they only give credit to someone who has won in the past. Francesa doesn't watch the NBA all year, then tells you with certainty that the Spurs are the team to beat because they have won before. Picks Duke almost every year too, except for now. Yankees and Red Sox are the only two baseball teams in existance, etc, that's how they are.
I used to listen to M&MD a lot years ago... when Parcells was named HC. You could tell even in those days that they were more Giants fans than Jets fans, but at least they tried to make the listening audience think they were impartial. And when Fatcessa wopuld get his equally fat-boy buddy Parcells on the phone, he could talk for hours about the Jets and be positive or at least appear so. Nowadays, Fatcessa's mentor and hypocrite Parcells is gone, so him and Dog are back to their old ways, dissing the Jets, downplaying everything they do and finding criticism with the team in general. That's precisely why I absolutely love it when the Jets kick the Giants' asses and then M&MD have to talk about it on Monday morning. It doesn't get any better than that. And yes, before anyone accuses me of being a "Giants Hater," you're absolutely right. I plead no lo contendre.
If he didn't split carries would he be a top 5 back...............? Remember he has never carried the load he is capable of carrying.
