Lol Jon Asamoah is a very good soon to be FA Guard that plays for the Chiefs I think your thinking of Nnamdi Asomugha the CB

Why would he be joking? OG is a HUGE need. Talib is a bad seed. There's no way that Idzik would sign him, and thank God for it!!! He's a head case and lockerroom cancer, exactly what you don't need with a young team.

I posted my response before I saw your second post. I understand your not wanting Asomugha completely, but find it hard to understand why you'd want Talib. Yes, he's a good CB, but not worth the headache.

I never said I "wanted" Talib.

I said I would take Talib over Asomugha any day. I'd rather have a guy that needs off-the-field issues worked with than a guy like Asomugha who can't cover a whale.

If Idzik could somehow pull of landing Byrd without overpaying for him and grabbing Talib at the same time while cutting Cro's paycheck. You would now have Talib, Cro with Milliner at the nickel with Byrd playing FS and Allen SS. Draft an OLB and ILB and this defense is amazing.

As far as offensive talent goes, unless you can get one of those WR's on a bargain, I would not throw money at them. With 10 draft picks, we should be able to secure a couple of guys who can catch the ball and block for the QB.

Milliner needs to be on the outside, we didn't draft him to play nickel, mostly because we already have our Nickel-back in Kyle Wilson (he's actually pretty good in THAT particular role)

the Jets should be in position to make one sizable move free agent move on offense and another on defense rounding out the rest of the cast through the draft.

It seems unwise to not attain at least ONE of the available WR's to be our #1 while draft picks come into their own.
