We definitely built back our credibility this year. It ended horribly with this loss and we have some areas we need to address but 10 wins usually gets you in. It was a good year with a bad ending. Tough winning 5 out of your last 6 and not getting in.
Jets were 4-4 on the road with 2 of those coming in London and "away" at MetLife. The slow starts crushed the Jets on the road this season just like it did today. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Maybe if they didn't look COMPLETELY unprepared and make SO MANY bad mistakes I could share those feelings. They looked unprepared and afraid for most of this game.
Absolutely a failure. We are a veteran team! Anyone who didn't think we would 9 games this year was blind. Look at the veterans on this roster. We aren't building for the future. We have a 2 year window with all these aging guys. There are no bright young superstars on the roster. Absolutely a failure!!!
Fitz was "the old Fitz today", unfortunately. But out Defense lost this game. They gave away time of possession for the middle two periods of the game when we had the wind. If I have a gripe with Bowles, it is that he gets too cautious on defense, which was not his rep coming in. I am also wondering if we wasted a ton of money on Revis.
See, i remember Fitz as being that QB who would throw the INT exactly when you needed it. He got away from that this year and I had high hopes. BUt he reverted today. And it raises new questions
Sure. I am happy with he season they had. But i still wanted a win today. I will get over it. But I will have to rethink Fitz in the process.
Yep.. Playing meaningful games in week 17 for a playoff spot is better than 4-12 and not giving a shit from Thanksgiving on. Of course we can't forget those wins against the Dolphins and the Titans.
absolutely right. but he was the old Fitz today. Do we want to throw another season at that possibility?
IMO, Fitz gets ONE and only ONE more year at the helm. After that, he either backs up Petty or walks the plank. 2017 is the year to keep your eyes on. 2016 is gonna be another developmental year so please don't be fooled like this year.
I'm not sure cautious was what was happening on D today. I saw a lot of blitzes and a lot of Watkins running open underneath because nobody was pressing him on the line of scrimmage. The argument for doubling him is that whoever was covering him could have been in his face at the line of scrimmage with safety help over the top to minimize the risk. Instead Revis was playing off of him and he got a ton of yards underneath because of that. The Jets weren't even making sure he was picked up by the 1st down marker most of the game which is why the 3rd down defense was so bad (alongside Taylor's scrambling.) I have no problems with the loss being to Rex. There was never a question that he could get his team up for a big game when he wanted too. It's all the other games that have him 34-46 over the last 5 seasons with no playoff appearances that are the problem.
Game of possession was definitely a killer but Taylor is dangerous with his scrambling abilities...One down side of playing a team that have nothing to lose, go on 4th downs and we failed miserably stopping long 4th downs.
Did anyone notice that Fitz id not rally use his legs today? He has used them in almost every game we have won but today he seas Mr. Pocket.
FANTASTIC YEAR!!!! Couldn't agree more, does anyone know why CBS didn't show the trophy ceremony after the game in Buffalo? Really wanted to see all the guys celebrate how great of a year it was. Any pictures of the trophy we won?
