Yah exactly. The AI by the computer can be a real pain in the ass sometimes on hardcore mode though because she doesn't hesitate to run full speed into a group of cazadors or deathclaws or w/e and if they die on Hardcore they can't be revived. At this point I'm not even doing any missions, I'm just checking out every single location on the map and exploring them. Waiting for the expansions to come out in time for x-mas (If you have it for xbox 360.. ps3 won't get them until marchish)
I've got like 60 hours on this game and I havent the slightest idea what my main quest is  Last thing I did was become a member of the Brotherhood of Steel... then the NCR at Hoover Dam tells me to eliminate them. Fuckin A.
You can get the two to ally with each other if you helped McNamara and didn't turn him in to Hardin. Just go back and tell him that the NCR wants to destroy them and he'll tell you he'd rather ally with them.
Cass and Arcade Cannon, I think his name is. The merc from the followers in Freeside. I also beat the game tonight. I took over New Vegas myself and killed Legion and NCR...I'll have to replay the game differently sometime to see the other endings.
The only glitch that I've had problems with is that you lose access to the keyboards commands after you reload a cowboy repeater or carbine type weapon while croaching. If you quicksave and reload it will reset properly. A real pain in a serious gun fight but worth doing. Good game. I like some of the new features they added. Overall I think it's been well done.
Haven't played in a while, I've been playing a lot of 2k11 a great game But for those who beat the game and are looking for a new challenge, the new DLC has been announced for New Vegas "Dead Money" http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Dead_Money
Not sure if anyone cares but the new patch has been released for all the systems, you can now locate all the companions when they are active in your party, add mods to the weathered 10mm pistol w/out any bug occurrences. with that said time to play some NV
PC Mod, probably. Either that or he doesn't realize one of them was fired in-game. You're only supposed to have one humanoid and one "pet" companion.
I played the first Fallout after hearing all the hype and loved it, but that game felt way more linear than this one. I love the freedom to do whatever the hell I want in this game, and I'm only now starting to complete the main quest after spending most of my time traveling the Mojave, collecting weapons, getting stronger, etc. Even though it doesn't really feel like an entirely new game, it's still a shit load of fun to play. I'm even delaying beating it until I've done everything, visited every place, and done every quest.
I believe if your with the NCR, you can have a solider come and help you during some battles, also while in Freeside you can hire a hitman enabling you to have 2 humans and a pet This is my exact mindset when playing NV
The Dead Money DLC is terrible, Im almost towards the end and I dont even wanna play it anymore. Its pretty much 800 MS points for a 5 level cap raise. Dead Money is honest to god the worst DLC ive played.
That is true, but the NCR soldier and the Freeside bodyguard are just random NPCs. By "companion" I meant named characters that grant perks, can have their weapons and armor upgraded, can carry equipment for you...etc.
