The NFC is wide open right now, and I think the Giants are capable of beating any team in the conference.
no NFC team is elite. I'd put the Falcons 6th out of all of these teams. The Packers are fucking weird.
The Packers are still my favorite based on what I think they can do once they get into the playoffs. With all these injuries, probably won't get a bye, though.
The OP is jumping to conclusions after 5 games, and this thread will be bumped once the Aints win the div.
NFC East x-New York Giants Philadelphia Eagles Dallas Cowboys Washington Redskins NFC North x-Minnesota Vikings y-Green Bay Packers Chicago Bears Detroit Lions NFC South x-Atlanta Falcons y-New Orleans Saints Tampa Bay Buccaneers Carolina Panthers NFC West x-Arizona Cardinals St. Louis Rams Seattle Seahawks San Francisco 49ers Right now, this is how I see the NFC ending up. I can see anything happening in the East and West, though.
I realize they could be 0-5 but I think they're a talented team that could definitely make a run in the playoffs. McNabb/passing offense has been good, Torain/Portis show effectiveness, and they have some talent on defense.. especially if Haynesworth decides to play well. They held GB, Philly, and Dallas to under 15 points so it at least shows they're competent. Then again they gave up 30 to Houston and St Louis so they're probably inconsistent as well. It may not be elite per se, but the Pack and Saints have looked like shit recently. The Falcons may be the ONLY elite team now that I think about it. I think they'll win the NFC East. I should prob change it. I hate Collinsworth, but I think his face looks funny.
so the Packers are still your favorite yet you have them finishing second to a Vikings team that will be 1-3 after tonight?
It really all depends on injuries. I could see the Vikings taking over the NFC North if GB keeps losing players like they are right now. Before the season I had the Packers taking the division, but I think the Vikings are going to get really hot after this game and the Packers are going to be up-and-down. The reason the Packers are still my favorite is that I still think that they'll go further in the playoffs (and possibly to the Super Bowl). They were my Super Bowl pick before the season.
No love for the Bears? They had their QB throw 4 picks and still win, although it was against the Panthers, regardless any time you throw 4 picks and still win it says something about your football team...
I see two teams coming out of the East then the North, but you're right that anything can happen, this conference is so unpredictable right now.
