You are spot on. If Sanchez fails to develop this season, then we can say it's not the OC. Let the games be played first,
sg3= 3rd Grader........ Really???? Ignoring someone when they've stoned you in an argument??????? LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!
personally, I felt Schotty's WORST performance was the year Favre was here. The play calling was absolutely assinine in several games..... something Mangini should've had a firmer grasp on, but Schotty also showed that side at times last season as well. If it means anything (and yes, could be coincidence) look at Pennington's and Favre's seasons the year after they left that system. good playcalling attacks the weakness of your opponent, and unless you're dominant in a speciffic strength. The JETS were only dominant in one strength in his tenure... running the ball in 09. They also had the leagues best o-line that year, and a super green rookie QB, that probably forced his hand from playing his overcomplicated BS, and pounding the ball. other than that, attacking a clear weakness was something that rarely happened. Will Sanchez improve? we'll find out, but if he doesn't maybe the JETS have their answer on their QB enigma.
If you end up unemployed some spring, you might want to apply at some of the big dairy farms Upstate since you spread shit so well. Oh, stop with the BS excuses for Sanchez! He had started 31 regular season games and 6 playoff games prior to 2011, which is 37 starts, so he should have stepped up if he was capable of it. That he didn't is on Sanchez not anybody else. BTW, you might want to check what really good QBs did after their 37th starts. Y'know, guys like Brady, Brees, P Manning, Rivers, Rodgers, Roethlisberger, etc
Well, yes and no, and the Sanchez Fans will be the first to tell you you are wrong if he doesn't. Yes because it wasn't the OC all along. I personally think it unlikely that Sanchez will make great strides this coming season. But I don't pretend to know he won't, or that it is impossible for him to do so. If he does, though, it will not be because Schotty is gone I am pretty certain. Of course the one thing nobody here really knows about is the relation of the CS to what is clearly, in my opinion, Sanchez's major problem, which is is poor job reading opposing pass defenses. Was there in fact some shortcoming on the CS's part in helping Sanchez there? I frankly doubt it, mostly because we have heard nothing of the sort from any source. But... it is possible. If so, Schotty may well have a part, perhaps a big part, in the blame for that. But you would think Cavanaugh would have more responsibility, since that clearly is in his job description, and he's still on the team. So I doubt the FO and Ryan think that was the main problem. The no part is obvious - Sparano is hardly a certainty to succeed and be effective as the OC. Right off the bat we must remember it was the original plan to also bring in Todd Haley to run the passing offense. Sparano has that job now in effect by default since Haley did not agree to go to the Jets. This is part of my criticism about the FO's performance this off season. If the main goal of this coming year is to see whether Sanchez is good enough to stay and to continue to have the O built around him, he should be given a proper and adequate level of support. Imo, having Sparano run the passing attack is something less than what I consider adequate, and is obviously something less than the Jet FO originally planned and hoped for. So, it is entirely possible, in fact I think it likely, that he will get no more help from the CS this year than last.
Every young QB has trouble reading defenses that is why it takes a while to develop as a QB. You do not only need to know what your guys are doing but what the defense is doing. To say he cant read defenses after three years in the league with limited college experience show a total lack of understanding of the position. Throw Schotty's complicated offense with multiple reads and multiple decisions needed to be in synch and a young QB will struggle. There is a reason he plays better in the two minute offense. Schotty tried to expose defenses by running motion and multiple shifts to get the defense to show its hand. Running the ball more forces the defense to play more base and vanilla packages making the defense easier to read. Combine that with now "experience" and Sanchez should make a big jump this year. Making throws is also another way to read defenses better. You may throw to the wrong guy but if you make a perfect throw it does not matter. If this is successful you praise the QB when he fails he forced the ball. This is where accuracy and arm strength matter can you make throw if you make the wrong read.
LMAO!!! So, you think I have a total lack of understanding of the position of quarterback. Well, I think you have a total lack of understanding of the game if you think Sanchez showed even an average level of development in that area, let alone what one might reasonably expect from a player picked fifth in the draft. Even the notion of "development" here is problematic. He showed no development whatsoever in this area last year, either for the year as a whole or as it progressed. And ftr just because I don't honk on Sanchez's schlong like some of his defenders around here doesn't mean I don't understand the game.
BTW, you may want to check how many of those players started from day 1 of their rookie season....... 1, and he was the best college QB prospect in the past 20 years.* * I'll even concede Big Ben, and that was by default (injury to the incumbent QB), but he was also a better college prospect as well (and no, draft # doesn't mean shit)
Based on most of your posts it does sound like you have much experiencing with the game other than watching it on TV.
Why are you even on this site? We tolerate fans of other teams, but now you are just blindly bashing the Jets and we only tolerate that from Jets fans  Fitzpatrick put up "Sanchez" like numbers for all 6 years in the league, besides his most recent year where he was SLIGHTLY better. Fitz' 6th year only slightly better than Sanchez' 3rd. Sanchez has improved every year he's been in the league, Fitz has not. If the trend continues, he'll easily surpass him next year. First half of last season he was a near top 10 QB, but he couldn't overcome the oline, lack of deep threat and Schotty calling stupid plays. That's a lot for a young guy to overcome. We'll see what happens next year, just stop the bashing, your team hasn't done squat for a decade now.
True story: the Jets rushed for 242 yards with Brett Favre at QB and scored just 13 points and lost to the 29th ranked offense in the NFL. Schotty should have been fired on the spot.
Based on all of your posts here it is a certainty you have no experience at anything other than pole smoking.
this is a good find by the OP... we will go from not scoring until the second half to not scoring at the end of halves...well, hopefully not...i think in large part that stat is attributed to his on the field talent...at some point the line has to be drawn to where coaches coach and players play. although, a stat is a stat is a stat....and it kind of points to Rex making another untrue statement about his personnel.
When you show ignorance about the game as you do and do not have a valid argument you resort to name calling.
Ftr you are the one who moved to a personal attack and did not answer my substantive point. You started it. I notice you have nothing of value to say, so rather than continue answering your non-substantive posts, I am going to put you on ignore. Have a nice day.
