Only a whiny faggot SOJF wouldn't be excited and optimistic about the defense this year. Or the entire team, for that matter.

  2. In terms of raw talent & potential, this group could be BETTER than the sack exchange mainly b/c they have better defensive coaching. I doubt they put up the stats #99, #73 & Co. put up..however.

It's tough to get excited about Sanchez when he's banging so many hot girls.

Haha yeah I think we'll all be pretty damn happy if we get a 14 sack season out of Coples. Aldon Smith is an anomaly though, I'd be happy if Coples gets 7+ and be thrilled if he hits double digits.

You're right. I'll just subtract Sanchez from the rest and we're all good :)

I just want to see Tom Brady in pain this year from the rush we put on him...

If Landry stays healthy thats pretty close. Even if we cant afford to resign him, a 3rd round comp is definitely probable.

    Of course if hes healthy..

Im not thinking about just this year, but more so longterm. I mean think about what the best defensive line coach in the NFL could do with Wilk, Ellis and Coples... thats what gets me excited.

His DL’s in Minny were always top 5 against the run and always rushed the passer really well.

Didnt we have a former safety and defensiveback coach coaching the DL last year?

He also had Kevin & Pat Williams in the middle and Jarred Allen on one side ...

I'm not saying coaching doesn't make a difference, I think it makes a huge difference, but that's some serious talent there.

We did, and I couldn't believe that our defensive lineman came out and discussed how Dunbar was teaching them all these pass rushing techniques they never knew. This is the NFL and the fact that the Jets didn't have their D-lineman aware of every pass rushing move is pitiful. Glad for the change, but can't believe that this was going on.

He also turned two 4th round picks, Edwards and Robison, into solid starters who have 8 sack seasons under their belts.

And I don't think Pouha, Wilkerson, and Coples is anything to shake a stick at either.
