Everyone is undervaluing Jameis Winston and overvaluing Mariota

    FSU also just paid out a $900,000 settlement in the Jameis Winston rape case.

    Sorry, I don't care if he wins five consecutive Super Bowls; I do not want a rapist leading my favorite football team.

    Criminal cases and Civil cases are very different from each other.

    Just because they paid out does not make him guilty of rape.

    How much do you think it would cost the school in attorney fees to defend this lawsuit in court?

    FSU probably wants to put this behind them and move away from any continued negativity that this will have on the school.

    It's about moving on and that's what the school probably wants to do.

    Would you want your family or business in a long drawn out court case?

    Paying out is the easiest thing to do.

    So because the school paid an amount to settle, he's now guilty of rape?

    That's not that impressive. His team constantly was down so they passed a lot which resulted in a lot of passing yards and passing TDs.

    The Pro Bowl is not proof of being good. It's purely a popularity contest. And he only got in because all the good QBs dropped out.

    And improving by 4 wins is not crazy. Their record last year was horrific so they had nowhere to go but up.
