I miss what Braylon brought to the table and I think tanny undervalued Braylons role on this team.

we've went over a billion times why braylon did not stay. legal problems deflated his value and ego forced him to want more $$.

if braylon was asking for 5 mil a year, he would have gotten it.

He was active today, didn't do anything. I think the injury played a part as the Jets seemed to hold him out even when he thought he could play. Apparently, he couldn't.

Braylon Edwards would not help this Jets team one bit. He's been injuried and not helping the 49ers at all either.

Our problems lie on the offensive and defensive lines, and our chances to win close games fall on our QB's accuracy, which has been shitty the last three road games.

I think having Cotch and Braylon would have helped to tis point but as the season progresses and mark gets more comfortable w/ Burress/Mason we'll be fine. Would we be 2-3 w/ those guys? probably- maybe 3-2 but the biggest reason we are 2-3 is b/c of the OL.

How much to get this guy back next season?

Plaxico will likely be gone. He cant ask for number one money again, can he?

And we'll start all over again with 2 new receivers next year.

The continuity at WR has plagued us since Sanchez came into the league.

    I want this guy back.

Tanny made a rare miscalculation. We'll never know exactly what Braylon was asking for, but he was far more valuable to our offense than anyone could have imagined. His blocking, and his ability to stretch the field, were vital components to our success on offense last season. Plaxico hasn't even come close to filling this role adequately.

BINGO! i would agree whole heartly. edwards>plax

dirty had a repore with edwards that made the two dangerous and they opponent had to respect the jets deep strike threat. it's been missing and plax is no replacement for that.

yes, we definitely need to bring Braylon back next year. I think it's a good thing he's hurt in SF. I think once he got comfortable up there they wouldn't make the same mistake we did. We need to bring him back.

I'd love to think he'd come back, but I'm not so sure. Hopefully this has been a wake up call to him to control his off the field issues. Either way, it's definitely a positive that Kerley is now our primary slot receiver and McKnight is splitting out wide at times. We'll return most of our receiving corps next season, and even if we're breaking in a new #2, we'll have continuity.

Hell, maybe SF will cut him mid-season and we could swoop in and grab him. I can hope, can't I?

We will only have 1 new receiver next year. Kerley is developing nicely and establishing himself. Holmes will be back obviously. So only Burress will have to be replaced.

You're right, and we're fortunate that they didn't let Mason hang around and rot here.

The only thing dumber than letting him go would be giving a pick or player up to get him back. Unless that player is Burress.

I think SF might want to hold onto him. He can make a big impact for them.

Of course it's moot cus this ship sailed about 30 minutes ago

Braylon was tweeting during the game last night.

    OfficialBraylon Braylon Edwards
    http://twitter.com/#!/OfficialBraylon

all he does on twitter is respond to Jet fans, and tell his side of the story. he has said multiple times he never wanted to leave(said this when he was a 49er) and the Jets felt different about him.

Funny thing is he wrote 'Lmao' after a pass to Plax incomplete.

then 'I promise this. Ive always been worth every penny.' When Plax dropped a ball.

    He is pissed off.
